Death note follows Light Yagami a strait A student and first in the country at everything. One day he finds a misterious notebook that when a name is written in it that person will die. light decides to use this note book in order to rid the world of evil. This is my favorite manga of all time. Its cleverly written and full of twists and turns you will never see coming. The artwork is very well done also with a more realistic feel to it. This is not a kids under 13 book. The very story and all its twist will leave older readers in awe but younger readers will probaby be lost in all the wordy pages. which leads me to my next point, its very very wordysome books have 30 pages of nonstop explainations which is welcome due to the story. it needs it. The anime is also something that new fans of the book should look into. It follows the books very well and it keeps its more mature atmosphere. the english dub is even good for this series which is rare these days. Anyway Death note is a must for any manga anime or even book fan.
