Anticipating your Warmth
The sound of wind was a calm humming in my ear, and the barren branches rocked with the rythmn of the night. The gentle breeze graced my face with a soft touch, almost leaving me wanting more. I had forgotten what a human's touch felt like; leaving me, and coming around, that was all I could remember. When was it last that I was with you? When was the last time I felt the touch of your unshakable admiration? It had been ages, and with those passing days it turned into years. At least it felt that way. My heart yearned for the sudden flight; that sudden skip of my internal clock. I wanted it, I DESIRED it.
Down to their ancient roots, the trees moaned hinting at the coming of a night walker. I could hear it in their tone, and by the way the air felt above me. From a comforting blanket of sincerity, the oxygen froze with icy content. Pressed to the back of my neck your lips made their mark, your body heat burned through my clothes as your hands explored long forgotten territory. Tensing underneath your warmth, it was as if I was remembering some distant confrontation. Your words flowed into me like milk choclate to my lips. "I finally found you," you whispered.
