The crowd gasped and the four battling Smashers gaped for a few seconds upon seeing the glowing Smash Ball coming out of the now broken crate. They had stopped the fighting, and the battle for the might item begins. Each crack it makes as the Smashers hit it kept the audience more and more in suspense. The fact they were battling in Battlefield made it worse, for it is easier to make the Smash Ball crack even more in smaller stages.
The chase stopped when Ike swung his sword upwards at the item and started glowing multiple colors. Of course, Peach, Pit, and Lucario tried to run away from the mercenary, for one of them will be ending up being the victim of Ike's Final Smash. Even if he misses when he swings his sword, he'd be pretty mad to the point where it is just as dangerous as Great Aether.
Ike's strategy to earn a point is that if he has the Smash Ball, he goes after the person who has the most damage. It only briefly surprised him when he found out that the person with the highest amount of damage was none other than his angel lover, Pit. Only briefly because Master Hand has set a deal to everyone that in the middle of a battle, you must ignore your relationship with another Smasher, whether it was friendship, sibling, parental, or romantic; during a battle, it is all about the tournament. Ike and Pit, along with everyone else, reluctantly agreed.
Remembering this, Ike swung his sword on Pit, making him victim. He did what he usually does: swinging his sword in random directions on the angel and he shouts out whatever he usually shouts out subconsciously. He finally plummets, and Pit was sent flying.
I'm going to apologize for that after the fight, Ike thought worriedly.
Something was weird after he knocked out Pit. After he knocked him out, he didn't see him since. This is a 10-minute Time Battle, not One-Stock. He stopped fighting the princess and the Pokemon and went to the topmost platform, where Pit should be when he's recovered.
Ike was right. Pit was at the top platform, sitting on the ground of it, back facing Ike. His shoulders were shaking and Ike can hear sniffing.
Pit can't be crying...he's more mature than that, Ike thought as he went up to the angel.
“Pit?” Ike called for Pit's attention as he placed a hand on his shoulder, “Pit, what's wrong?”
The angel sprung up from his ground and faced the mercenary with red, tear-stained cheeks, “YOU SAID YOU HATED ME!”
“What?!”
“Yes, you did!” Lucario yelled out simply from the bottom ground, “when you were Great Aethering him!”
Peach looked at the blue Pokemon ridiculously, “It's great to see how you just said that so simply...”
Ike was about to deny it, until he thought back to his Final Smash. All he said was the usual phrase he says-wait, his phrase...
'Crap' was the initial thought that ran through Ike's mind.
“I'M OUT OF HERE!” Pit yelled out when he pushed the button on the remote for him to be teleported out of the stage. This also enabled for the fight to be canceled, but he didn't care. Because of that, it wasn't only him that was teleported, but also the other participants of the battle.
The four Smashers got back from the Teleportation room, and Pit immediately flew out.
“Argh! Wait! Pit!” Ike ran after him
If there's one thing that is certain, Ike will know next time whether or not he's saying “I hate you!” while he's doing his Final Smash.
