The Vampires` Combat - The Eternal Warfare

I was hidden in the shadow of the night. I watched. I kept vigil. I waited. Time elapsed slowly. It was drizzling, I could felt the cold touch of lurking evil, the stinking bad breath of death - my fellow mate. There was no moon in the sky. Darkness was all over the place. Hair-bristling coldness, bleakness. Ear-splitting, nerve-shattering quietness. It seemed as if poor wretched humans felt something strange, dangerous, ominous, lethal... I was this "something"...

I am Deimos de Ares, one of the Knights of the Night. I am not a human being. I am a creature, standing a few steps higher in the hierarchy of evolution than the humans do. I am a vampire. My life is my curse. My curse is my life... I have been one for more than fifteen centuries and I will be one till the end of eternity! This is the story of the Vampires` Combat- the Eternal Warfare. My mission is to destroy the family of vampires. I have to erase all who are like me. But in order to be understood, I have to tell the whole story...So I go back in time, fifteen centuries before the night...

When did I find out who and what I really was? It was on my eighteenth birthday. My father called me in his studio in our castle in England. The other day he was going to leave with King Richard to the Sacred Lands. When I entered the room I saw him writing some documents with his long white quill, he looked up and smiled at me. "I have to tell you something!" I came closer to him. And then he told me the story of my life... He told me he had found me many years before in the forest. He had understood that I wasn`t an ordinary one. He told me I had been so calm, unusually calm for a little kid, left alone. Then I had smiled at him and he had noticed my teeth. I had been a baby-vampire...

This was the beginning. The next day I ran away from home and I never came back. I never grew older. I never changed. Several centuries later, during the World War One I met Lee - my future guru. He showed me the truth about vampires and I became what I am now - a Knight!

That night, when I was standing in the rain, I had to find my victim - Vladislav Draculson, the one I had to reborn for new life...Together we had to start the extermination of our brothers - the vampires...
