Tactical: If anything, Rou doesn't go in with much of a strategy at all. However, if she is paired up with someone she respects who has a strategy, she will listen. Rou uses instinct over thinking out strategies, as they often take too long for her to compile.

Social: Rou often comes off as crude and cocky, and often rebels against authority. She feels that few deserve her respect due to their lack of will and being a follower of the popular choice. She often just fights for herself, but when given a cause to truly fight for, she becomes obedient for it, and will follow someone who gives her direction. She does what she needs to so she can get what she wants, and does resort to using her voluptous body as appeal.

Emotional: Rou does things for herself unless she finds a reason to displace her needs, wants, or personal safety. She recognizes that she's often selfish, but doesn't pay it much mind. However, her rare conscience does get the better of her, as she often knows she's going to be regretting her choices later on.

Overall Well-being: Rou is generally healthy, and keeps herself in good fighting condition. She travels a lot, not finding it quite fit to stay at home. She finds some tranquility in blacksmithing or crafting gems, which was the trade her family made.

Style: Fire Manipulation

By use of chi, Rou dispels her energy in a fit of flame. Rou has been unable to perform her fire manipulation without a leading tool or vessel, which was often an insulated rod or welding tool while she used it in the blacksmithing trade. By sending her energy in a small, constant stream through the leading tool, she can emit flame out the opposite end, or heat up the tool itself, like a red-hot poker.

Since Rou is human, she is not immune to burns, so she uses the tools (such as rods or her own chains) to separate the heat from her body. She also wears clothing and gloves made of a material called "twaron", which is fire-resistant, as a precaution.

Rou able to emit fire from her mouth, but only with the aid of gasoline, which is carried in a flask on her belt. This technique does not burn her since the fire ignites after the gasoline has left her mouth, but accidentally swallowing the gasoline (i.e., if she is surprised or spooked) could have poisonous side-effects to her.

Rou can also produce a small, potent flame from the tips of her fingers. The flame levitates directly over her skin, and usually takes on a blue to white color due to the degree of heat. Rou can only do this with her gloves off, and requires a great deal of concentration to keep going. The flame only protrudes outward no longer than an inch, but the heat is potent enough to give a person second-degree burns over a very small surface area. Rou normally uses this for welding rather than battle, but may find use for it in the ring.

Style: Acrobatics

Rou is very small and petite, which makes these skills fairly easy for her. She's very nimble, quick, and flexible, and was taught something of a gymnast's art to center her style. This style encourages dodges (while some are particularly flashy, it still does the trick) rather than defending.

Style: Firewhipping (AKA Poi)

Now with a weapon that is always on her person, Rou had developed this style herself. The loose chains shackled to her wrists provided a very versatile weapon, and she is able to crack it like a bullwhip. By self-practice after watching a traveling band of Poi performers, she'd trained herself with many general whipping techniques, making them her own trade.

Her weapon is composed of two parts: The chain, and the flames. The chain is only about a foot and a half long, which separates her weapon from herself, so she doesn't recieve burns while using the weapon. By sending her energy/chi through the chain, she starts the length, and can send it out as far as six feet from the tip of the chain (in total, 7 and 1/2 feet).

The flames are a physical entity when supplied with her chi, which is why her whip inflicts welts and can move at the speed of a leather whip. Six feet of chain would be too easy to pull on to restrain her, in addition to being incredibly heavy, which would slow her weapon down. The build of her weapon is versatile, which is ideal for her. To create her whip, she ignites it by sending her chi down the path of the chain. To turn it off, she simply needs to stop feeding it chi. If Rou expends all her energy and exhausts her supply of chi, she can no longer sustain the whip until she's had time to rest. In battles where Rou has to run around a lot and expend her stamina, she'll have to use her whip sparingly. If she's able to stay in one spot or move very little, she'll be able to keep using her whip for longer amounts of time.

Info: The shackles around her wrists can double as both a weapon and a defensive item to block oncoming strikes of certain weapons (swords, rods, ect.) if she pulls the chain taut. It's not always determined, as some can injure her hands if not blocked properly. These shackles are essential in using her firewhipping techniques. Now that Rou has obtained the key, she is able to unlock the shackles from her wrists to put them on and remove them as she pleases. She keeps the key in her belt.

The chain is essential in using her firewhipping techniques.

Info: Rou keeps oil in this container. By taking the oil into her mouth, she can use it to ignite a flame as she blows out of her mouth. The amount of oil she takes in determines how long it lasts. She can only take about half the bottle of oil in her mouth at a single time, and must take at least a tenth in at a time. Collectively, the bottle can give her about thirty seconds of fire from her breath. (Max uses: 10 -in 3 second bursts-; Min uses: 2 -in 15 second bursts-)

Info: Rou covers very little of herself, but crafted her own armor to be able to protect what she feels is her most vital points, that still allow her movement. This anchors around two spaulders on her shoulders, double-fired to make it lighter, while still keeping the strength of the first fire.

Rou is crude and seemingly impolite to people she meets, and her actions follow her selfish and greedy ambitions. However, while her respect for another is rarely earned, she is honorable to her word. Putting her into a tight spot heightens her instinct, but being reflective without an initial plan causes her to make many mistakes.

Rou was born into a family of Blacksmiths and Jewelers in the city of Durem. As she grew up, she traveled in the stead of her older brother, Wei, as she gained knowledge, skill, and experience in both the arts of blacksmithing and fire manipulation. As she attended private school for the majority of her youth, Rou took up acrobatics, as her mother coached her with an affectionate, yet firm hand.

She had a happy childhood, and a loving family. Her father was a blacksmith, and her mother was a jeweler, making the family fortune by perfecting mined gems, and fashioning gold and other precious metals into jewelry, weapons, and armor for wealthy consumers. They were skilled in the metal and gem trade, as well as the arts of protecting that trade. As she trained with her brother day after day, it hadn't taken long for the scouts to find Wei. He was enlisted into a private guard force, employed to protect a very important politician, Warren Jacobi. He was a foreign politician who had been heavily supported by the masses-- favoring his western ideals and promise of egalitarian changes in their homeland. Rou's family was overjoyed at the honor and recognition that Wei's position would bring them.

Before Wei left, Rou had presented him with a gift. A sword crafted from rubies, a strong, valuable red blade. It was her finest work, now off with her brother as he carried out his duty.

Unfortunately, that was the last time they ever saw Wei. The entire family was heartbroken when news of her brother's death came back around, having been stabbed, then burned to death in a raging fire. While the police called it an accident, Rou had her doubts. If he had truly burned to death, then what had become of her brother's ruby blade?

When Jacobi's private police force refused to let a child into his private estate so she could inquire about the sword, she snuck in, sneaking through the ventilation above the ceiling. By overhearing Warren Jacobi's own descriptions, he'd revealed that Wei's death was no accident-- but he'd done his own officer in because of his sword.

Rou's father was devastated when his daughter relayed the news of his son's death, and soon became ill. He soon lost his will to recover from sickness, leaving Rou to study the arts of Fire Manipulation and take her brother's place, as her mother took over the jeweling trade until she'd also died of sickness two years later.

Rou trained long and hard, before setting out on her own. There was nothing left for her in her home other than an empty blacksmith shop. After fashioning her own custom, lightweight armor, she'd set out, in search of the man who'd taken her brother from her.

It took three years to track him down, before finally reaching who she was after. And by that time, the man had become a powerful mafioso, with others protecting him and sacrificing themselves, just as Rou's brother had done before. Her thoughts gave way to instinctful rage, and only halted as she pointed a knife at the throat of her brother's killer, pausing only to see the fear for his life in his eyes. He was safe, still clutching the sword that Rou had made for Wei.

And that moment was a moment too many. Captured without being able to deliver the final strike, she was locked away in a high-security prison, meant to be locked there forever for attempted murder.

Rou had repeatedly started fights among the inmates, and was known for attacking the guards. And no matter how many times she was beaten down, she'd just try again when she'd regained her strength.

After about a month of such behavior, the warden ordered to have her anchored to the floor by shackles. With barely enough slack to take her a step forward, she was detained in her cell for eleven more months... before she escaped.

She'd pulled on the chains day and night, and had finally uprooted the bolts enough to set her free. While the shackles remained on her wrists, she fought her way through, and managed to escape the prison.

After a year of imprisonment, torture, and excruciating agony, she'd forgotten the face of her brother's killer. All that she'd had left to find him was a red sword, the Ruby Blade.

Rou makes it a priority to fight for herself, as she is the only one she has left. Nothing would bring her family back. Nothing would return her life to the way it was. All she could do was tread forward, and protect herself. She needed more experience, and one day, she'd take the life of the man who stole her brother from her, and retrieve the sword so she could finally put her brother to rest.

Rou picked up odd jobs and services through the years to allow herself to survive: anything from smithing, crafting, and especially thieving. After a few jobs requiring her to steal the rarest of gems from private collections, and smithing them into the hilts of strong, gallant swords, or crafting them into intricate jewelry, Rou made enough money to make herself known in the black market.

With green persuasion, Rou and a gang of followers launched a raid against Warren Jacobi, still in the hopes of revenge. Many lives were lost and too much blood was shed, but in the end he'd escaped again, still clutching Wei's Ruby Blade. All that was left in the wake of their destruction was a single key-- that to Rou's shackles.

While Rou now has enough money to support herself, she often can't break her die-hard habits of thieving, but still enjoys the repetitive noise of a smithy. She's still on the search for Jacobi, so she may have her revenge.
