Maya looked at Sapphire like she was retarded and sighed. "I dont know Sapphire..."
"well if we don't tell him now he will only find out when you grow fur and a tail." Sapphire said as she washed her hands.
Maya whimpred and did the same. "I guess so..." she sighed and brushed her brown hair through with her hand.
"Now or never baby." Sapphire said as she bought some rations for the ride. The girls hopped back into the car and Sapphire handed Aiden a bottlee of water and a bag of chips.
"So wanna tell me whats really going on?" Aiden asked as Maya drove off. SApphire stood up in the back seat and laid herself down across the bench and hung her feet over the side.
"The truth?" Maya asked looking at Aiden who just nodded.
"The truth my dear Aiden," Sapphire pulled her shades on and laid her arm over her eyes, "I am a vampire, and my good friend over here is a werewolf. " Aiden looked at Sapphire and laughed, not believing a word she said.
"She is seriouse." Maya said turning down a deserted road.
"Yeah, My brother and his b***h of a fiancee kidnaped Maya a few months ago and I stole her back, and now we are being chased by my brothers men." Sapphire said with a yawn. Aiden looked astonished, he didnt know if he should belive her or not.
"Werewolves I can belive, but vampires really?" Aiden asked looking at Sapphire. The vampire in the back seat sat up and Maya looked at her through the rear view. "Sapphire... what are you gunna do?" she questioned looking at her friend.
"Aiden.." Sapphire cooed as she traced his ear softly. Aiden blushed and looked at Sapphire. She smiled and pulled off her sunglasses. "Ready?" she asked shutting her eyes. When she opend her eyes again her pupils turned into cat like slits of purple and she smiled and her fangs slid down.
"Holly s**t!" Aiden yelled as he backed away from Sapphire in his seat. She blinked again and her eyes were back to normal but her fangs were still out.
"You guys arent kidding." Aiden said and Sapphire smirked. "Duh."
Maya looked at Aiden feeling ashamed that they kidnaped him and were now scaring the s**t out of him.
"Can I see yours Maya?" Aiden asked looking at the were wolf. She just turned her face to him and saw her eyes a lighter shade. She was a little shya bout changing forms infront of strangers.
"Ah eh uhm," Maya was speechless at Aiden's request. "You really want to see my wolf form?" she asked shyly.
"Yea," Aiden replied, "Of course I do. I've just seen what a real live vampire looks
like it's only fair I get to seen what a real live werewolf looks like."
Sapphire chuckled in the back seat, "The man has a point."
Maya sighed and pulled the car off the side of the road and got out of the car. Aiden jumped out of the car like a kid running to a christmas tree on christmas morning.
"Easy boy," Sapphire said with a snicker. Maya walked to the front of the car and Aiden stood across from her. Maya closed her eyes and willed the change. When she opened her eyes she was Aiden standing there with is jaw gapeing. Maya got untangled from her clothes and walked over to him.
"Woah," Aiden said looking at the brownish red wolf that now occupided the spot where Maya had been standing. Maya walked over to Aiden, sat down in front up him and looked up at him wagging her tail. Aiden squated now to look Maya in the eye. "That was pretty cool." MAya licked his cheek as if to say "Your Welcome."
"Why don't you get back in the car now," Sapphire told Aiden.
"Uhm, Why?" Aiden asked standing up.
"So she can change back without you seeing her naked." Aiden blushed at the thought. "Good point." Aiden walked back to the car and got in. Maya changed back got dressed and got back into the car.And started to drive again.
"Sooo," Aiden said, "Vampires and werewolves are real."
"Yup," the girls said in unison.
"And I'm traveling with one of each."
"Yup," they said again.
"Sure this isn't a dream?" Maya looked at Aiden and punched him in the arm. "Owww!"
"Not a dream," she replied.
"Wow this is a lot to take in. So are what people think about vampires and werewolves real? Like the stuff in the movies?"
"Sort of," Sapphire said.
"Yea just some of it," Maya added.
"Like what?"
"Well," Maya said,"Werewolves do have to change at the full moon but we are still capable of human thought and stuff were aren't all animal and stuff, and even though we are allergic to silver and it is the best way to kill us it's not the only way. Enought trama and blood loss will kill us. We heal faster than humans but not as fast of vampires."
"How do you become a werewolf?"
"A bite or other bodily fluids."
"Other bodily fluids?" Aiden asked.
Sapphire laughed. "Maybe that's why you never get laid," she said.
"What?!" Aiden asked. "You can become a werewolf by having sex with one?"
"Yep unprotected sex with a werewolf not good."
"What about kissing?"
"Kissing's okay."
"Then how come you become a werewolf when you are bit?"
"We release a special enzyme when we bite, other wise our siliva is steryle."
"Oh," Aiden said.
"Yup that's about it." Maya said.
"So," Aiden said turning to Sapphire, "What about vampires?"
"Well," she said sitting up.
Aiden turned in his sat so he could listen to Sapphire a little better.
"I like garlic bread for one." she said with a smile
"So no need to sleep with garlic if a vampires in town." Aiden said with a laugh.
"Nope. As for crosses, they dont work either. As a matter of fact the original vampires were priests back in the days of the Templar Knights." When Aiden just looked at her like she was crazy she sighed.
"Priests that fought in the holy wars. Any ways yeah, The only real way to kill is us is to remove our heads and if we are stabed in the heart with a bronze weapon."
"Bronze? Is that like the same as silver for werewolfs?"
"Pretty much. Vampires are highly allergic to bronze, it takes a lot longer for us to heal a wound done by bronze. Depending on the size of the wound bronze can even scar." Sapphire said yawning.
"What about holy water?" Aiden asked looking at Sapphire.
She shook her head. "No, holy water wont kill us."
"And niether does the sun.." Maya commented.
"She makes apoint, though we have a slight allergic reaction to the suns rays. For some reason the sun hurts our eyes and three hours in the sun for a vmpire is like twelve hours for a human."
"And you drink blood." Aiden stated and Sapphire nodded
"Blood if our main sorce of life, but regular food and alcohol gives us energy aswell. The more food I eat the longer I can stay out in the sun."
"Ok." Aiden nodded his head "I have a question though."
"Ask away."
"Are all vampires extreamly hot looking like you?"
Maya pushed out her bottom lip into a pout and looked at Aiden. Sapphire giggled seeing Maya react to the question.
"Most are yeah. You ever heard the saying you are what you eat?"
Aiden nodded, seeing as the question was obviouse. every one knows that saying.
"Well that came from a vampire. We have to look appealing to our pray, and to do so we have to atractive. You cant get men to follow you when you are 5 foot and weigh 300 lbs. When you become a vampire your body adjusts so you become the perfect you. If your boobs are saggy and you have cellulite when you become a vampire cellulite is gone and your a** looks amazing and your breast are back to being firm and bouncy like wen you were 16."
"Speaking from experiance, are we?" Maya asked looking at Sapphire. Sapphire hissed, flipped Maya the bird and when she tunrned her attention to the finger Sapphire smacked Maya on the back of the head.
"No, I got the body of my 18 year old self, thank you very much."
"Why 18?" Aiden questioned curiously.
"Thats how old I was when I died." Sapphire stated boredly as if it was no big deal that she died once. "The hair on your head and your fingernails grow faster too.." she added quizicaly.
"H..how'd it happen? you dieing." asked Aiden softly as if death was a topic that wasnt suposed to be shared. The question had gotten Maya's attention as well. She had never asked Sapphire such a personal question before.
For a minute it didnt look like Sapphire was going to answer, she tapped her finger nails against each otherand just stared off into the distance.
"I was with my brother Crimson. We were traveling by carage Fance to visit our grandmother in Italy. We were crossing over a dangerous ridge when we were attacked. My brother had warned me to stay inside the carage where it was safe but.." Sapphires eyes turned hazzey as se thought back all those years to her past when she was still human. " I wanted to help, and I didnt want Crimson to get hurt. It all happend so fast... the next thing I knew I was back in the carage and Crimson waas tossed in and the carage was rolling down the cliff."
Aiden and Maya looked at Sapphire with sad eyes.
"Crimson and I were cilled.. drowned maybe.. we were burried together and we even woke from the grave within days from each other...Maya watch the road." Maya looked at Sapphire then at the road.
"Oh sh*t!" she said and got back on the paved road and off the dead weeds. "Im not suprised. You and Crimson did everything together right? " Maya asked once back on the road.
"Well we were twins." Sapphire stated, her eyes back to normal and she just seemed to look a lot more calm. "Oh and since Vampires drink from main arteries, so our siliva as healing compounds in them. Its weird I dont get it." Sapphire pipped cheerfully.
"So how does one become a vampire?"
"You either die and rise again, or you can be changed by another vampire. You have to have their blood in your body. So its not like I have to drain you dry and feed you mine. you just need mine."
"oh...ok..." Aiden turned around in his seat trying to digest all of the information the girls had just given him.
"Hey," he said turning to Maya, "Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure," she said.
"I Heard Sapphire's back story. Can I hear yours? How did you become a werewolf?" He asked excitedly.
"Well," Maya said, "I have no clue," she replied.
"W. . .What?!" he asked how could you not know?"
"Well I don't know how long ago but I was kidnapped by Crimson and his fiance' Lexis. And they needed me for some experament or something. And they did stuff do me, I don't know what but now I have amnesia. I remember Sapphire rescueing me about 8 months ago and everything after that but I can't remember anything before that."
"What kind of stuff did they do to you?" he asked sadly
"I don't know. I wake up from bad dreams sometimes but they aren't dreams they are memories of stuff they did to me. They took my blood gave me different drugs but that's about all I know."
"Oh," Aiden asked feeeling bad that he made Maya bring up her bad memories.
"So why did you rescue her?" Aiden asked Sapphire.
"Me and my brother had a falling out and now I do what ever I can to piss him off."
"So stealing Maya sounded like a good idea?"
"Yup," Sapphire said with a grin, "She must be preeeetty important cause he wants her back real bad."
"But what for?" Aiden asked.
"No idea," Sapphire said.
"Maybe one day I'll remember," Maya said.
After that everyone in the car got quiet. After a few hours of driving, Sapphire broke the silence.
"We need to put the roof up. I ran out of munchies an hour ago and this sun is getting to me." Maya pulled off of the road and her and Aiden put the roof up. They got back in the car. Maya looked at her friend. The vampire looks pale and sickly.
"Are you ok?" Maya asked concerned. Sapphire just shook her head.
"Do you need some blood?"
"Badly," Sapphire said.
"Great," Maya said looking at Aiden. He had a terrified look on his face. "I guess it's me." Maya put her wrist in front of Sapphire. Sapphire sunk her fangs in to her wrist and lapped up the crimson liquid. Sadly Aiden couldn't help but find it slightly erotic.
"Sapphire," Maya said turning pale, "That's enough. Sapphire! STOP!"
Sapphire jerked back and licked the wound on Maya's arm.
"Ah, that's much better,' she said returning to narmal.
"Maya are you ok?" Aiden asked.
"I fine just a little light headed from the blood loss," she said as she collapsed in the front seat. Aiden ran around ro her side of the car.
"Maya!" he said shaking her. She started to come to.
"I'm ok I just need to sleep."
Sapphire climbed into the driver's seat and Aiden and Maya got in the back seat.
"Aww, so I drink her blood, Aiden finds it hot and I'm the one who has to sit all alone?" Sapphire stated as she looked into the rearview mirror.
Aiden gulped and looked at Sapphire "How did you know I.."
"Oh... i guess I forgot to mention that part.. Vampires can hear almost as good as werewolfs but our noses arent as acute as a werewolfs. The smells that are hightend to us are hormones, blood, and fear." She said as she ran a hand through her hair.
"And since no one wants to sit next to me I guess I will just have to pick up a guy at our next destination....that is if we make it there before the full moon." Sapphire added the last part and looked back at Maya.
Maya was leaning against Aiden her eyes half lided. "You thought her drinking my blood was hot?" Maya asked and Aiden blushed. "Im taking that as a yes." she mutterd and patted his cheek. "I'll have you know vampires can give off pharamones while bitting some one that gives their pray a very erotic episode." Sapphire declared proudly as she flipped on the blinkers even though they hadn't seen any one for miles.
"We can numb the bite with our salivia and then make is euphoric or we can make it hurt." she stated though she wasn't sure they were listening to her.
Aiden was busy stroking Maya's hair and Maya was the verge of passing out. Sapphire couldn't tell if it was from the blood loss or becuase Aiden was petting her. She looked like her leg was going to start twitching in any moment.
"What happens on the fullmoon?" Aiden asked then looked at Maya. "besides turning into a wolf."
"Crimson has people hunting us down." Maya said shifting a little closer to Aiden.
"And knowing my brother he is either 2 steps beind us or he is right on our trail."
"I still dont understand."
"Well they usually show up on the night of the full moon. Turns out my brother wants her back and arounf the week of the full moon the number of people that are after us doubles."
"Why? What's so special about that week?" Aiden asked.
"Werewolf's are all sorts of a mess they weeks of the full moon," Maya said. "Our hormones and everything are all sorts of messed yp because of the impending change. And werewolves are all sorts of horny that week too."
"Uhm. . . why?"
"Because werewolves are all sorts of fertile that week and it's easier to concieve."
"R r really," Aiden studdered.
'Yep," Maya said. Sapphire couldn't help but chuckle. Maya heard her chuckle and flipped her off.
"That's why your so angry the week of the full moon," Sapphire said, "Your horny as ******** and don't get laid that must suck."
"Oh it does," Maya said.
"Any ways," Aiden said, "Why do they want you this week?"
"It must have something to do with the infux of horomones or something."
"But why?"
"Because," Sapphire said," Vampires can't have kids. We are incapable because of the whole undead thing. And Crimson and Lexis have wanted kids forever. Werewold blood must help because of the horomes and the ablility to concieve."
"O. . . k. . .," Aiden said but why do they need Maya? Why can't they use another werewolf?"
"They need my blood to have babies?!" Maya asked. "Why my blood?"
"Apperently, your special." Aiden said. Maya laughed.
"I don't think so," she said, and she nodded off to sleep.
"So where are we going?" Aiden asked.
"The mountains," she said pointing to the mountains in the distance.
"Why?"
"To find a cabin to hide in for the next couple of days."
"Will Crimson find us?"
"Hopefully not but he probably will."
"What will we do if he finds us?"
"Odds are it won't be him personally. It will be a bounty hunter."
"A bounty hunter?"
"Yep. He wants Maya alive and he wants me dead for interferring."
"What about me?" Aiden asked trying to hide the fear in his voice.
"You will probably end up dead. No witnesses." Aiden's face went pale.
"Don't worry," Maya said. "I won't let them harm you."
"Awwww cute little love birds," Sapphire said grinning.
