AMExKIT [RP 001]
This is part 1 of Ame-chan and my RP. We haven't thought of a name for it, so I'll discuss that with her a bit and see what we come up with (^^) Remember, her character is blind. So it was really different doing this RP. But I really liked it a lot (^^) It's still in progress right now so I still don't know how it'll end. (^^)Ame-chan and I have done RPs in the past (mostly InuYasha) so it's nice to be RPing with her once more. (^^)

RP
AMExKIT Project

AME-CHAN:

Lacey set her feet on the smooth marble flooring of her room. She exhaled a long ragged breath. She did not want to get out of bed. Not since Lee transfered, she had no guide to lead her around school grounds. "But, I can't stay here forever..." She argued with herself. Maybe today won't be as bad as yesterday...or the day before that...and before that... She changed and ran a brush through her hair before setting off to the dining hall. She fingered her face. "Knew I forgot something." She zipped open her purse and pulled out a slender pair of dark shades. "That's better!"

KIT-CHAN:

Mello laid in his bed looking up at the ceiling with a rather bored expression. The same boring thing every day........ I wish Matt were here. He gave a sigh and reluctantly pulled himself up from the bed, going into the bathroom to freshen up before going downstairs. He didn't really see the point; no one ever talked to him. He might as well be better off staying in his room. With another sigh, he pulled out a bar of chocolate and began the walk downstairs.

AME-CHAN:

"Chocolate?!" Lacey exclaimed. She sniffed. "It's coming from..." She swivled around to face Mello. "There!" She practically ran up the stairs, her nose leading the way. "Chocolate...yum..." She inhaled once more before introducing herself. "I'm Lacey. You have chocolate, what's your name? And can I have some?!"

KIT-CHAN:

Mello had froze in his tracks, the bar of chocolate halfway to his mouth. "Umm...I'm Mello," he said, taking a small step backward. "And uh - sure, I guess." He broke off a piece of chocolate and held it out to her.

AME-CHAN:

She smiled. "Thank you!" Her hand eventually found his wrist, she bagan talking to distract him from what she was doing. "Mello? Nice to meet you, I've never heard of you before... What's your schedule? Maybe we have some classes together." She found the piece of candy and stuffed it into her mouth. She sighed in contempt. "Thanks again for the chocolate!"

KIT-CHAN:

"Oh, I have Math, reading, language arts, and then social studies," he said, and then realized what she had done. "Wha---- hey! Who said you could take that for free!?" he cried.

AME-CHAN:

"Huh?! But you gave me a piece!!! What are you-crazy!!! ...Oh, by the way...we have the same schedule...just so you know..." She ran a finger down the length of the candy bar. "Oh... you meant just a piece...? Here." She held out the candy bar back to him. "We need to get to math soon..."

KIT-CHAN:

"Um....alright then......" He looked at the candy bar before looking back to her. "Hey - what's with the shades? It's like - we're inside."

AME-CHAN:

Crap...he had to ask that... "Um...my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight...the sun burns my eyes..." Maybe that lie will hold up... "Uh...you lead the way...!"

KIT-CHAN:

"Alright...." He looked back at her again before turning around. "It's this way - down a couple hallways."

AME-CHAN:

"Okay!" She happily followed him up the remainder of the stairs. "You don't walk loud enough!" She complained. "Start walking normally or talk to me! I can't follow you-crap." She'd given herself away. "Psh, wonderful Lacey...just...wonderful..."

KIT-CHAN:

"Wha...?" Mello turned around and looked at her carefully for a minute. "Hey, Lacey..... How many fingers am I holding up?"

AME-CHAN:

She flushed a deep scarlet. "Um...four?"

KIT-CHAN:

"TWO. Hey, you - you can't see, can you?"

AME-CHAN:

She crossed her arms. "So what if I can't?! We're late."

KIT-CHAN:

"Lacey - why didn't you tell me?" Mello asked. "You tried to lie."

AME-CHAN:

"And? I didn't want you to treat me any differently than you would anyone else. Usually when people find out, they treat me like I'm a child. And I swear if you do that I will smack you silly!"

KIT-CHAN:

Mello gave a small laugh. "Don't worry - it's obvious you aren't a child." He crossed his arms. "Just don't expect any special treatment. I'm not gonna slow down my pace, understand?"

AME-CHAN:

She smiled. "I didn't ask you to slow down, in fact...you can pick up the pace if you like!" A few stray students hurried to their classes. "Looks like we need to hurry..." She walked the few paces distance to Mello. "You may lead, kind sir." She inclined her head in a sort of bow, then laughed. "Tell me, what do you look like?"

KIT-CHAN:

"Oh uh --" Mello didn't really know what to say; he'd never had to describe himself to someone before. "Blonde hair - about shoulderlength. I'm about 5'7 in height, average build. Uh - white. Blue eyes...." He paused. "Anything else you want to know?"

AME-CHAN:

"You sound cute. No, that's all..."

KIT-CHAN:

"I - I sound cute?" he could feel a blush crawl up his cheeks. "Um...thanks...."

AME-CHAN:

She shrugged. "It's the truth." She stopped to smile at him. "Say...let's ditch class today...I don't really feel like math."

KIT-CHAN:

"Um - what? You - you're serious?" Mello said. He'd never ditched a day in his life, and couldn't help but be wary of her sudden suggestion. Then again, he did need more chocolate. "Well where do you suggest we go?"

AME-CHAN:

"My room. I owe you that chocolate I stole earlier... I have cases upon cases in my room. Besides...I'm sure you're curious about how I got this way." She gestured to her eyes hidden behind black lenses. "Come on!" She spun around and started walking the direction they had started from.

KIT-CHAN:

"Wait up!" Mello hurried to catch up with her. "You said you had chocolate...? You like chocolate....?"

AME-CHAN:

She nodded a reply. "I lo-oove chocolate!" Se stopped a few times to run her hand along the walls, eventually finding something that told her where she was and how far away her room was. "Okay, thirty-six steps, turn right. Eighteen steps, then we're at the door!"

KIT-CHAN:

"Wow - you really no your way around, despite being - well, you know." He said, following her closely.

AME-CHAN:

"Uh, huh." She nodded. "Well, I wasn't always blind." She turned her head to face him. "You can say it. "Blind." It's not a swear word or anything..." She opened the door and walked in. "Okay, um, make yourself at home? There's a chair over here. You can sit if you want." She pointed to the left, where a small mushroom chair sat. "Wait a sec and I'll get the chocolate... Um - feel free to look around." She slipped her shoes off. Lacey happily wriggled her feet in the shag carpet. She sighed, it was so great to be home.

Hey! That's MY line! (Referring to your siggy) [lol]

I'll change my journal title if you want me too... It was originally derived from my short story, Fading Isolation. Just so you know... What would be a good title then? Give me any suggestions!
