Chapter One: Accident
Nao's POV
I'm not sure... how it happened. He was drunk. I could tell. Or was it a woman? I didn't see their face. Or faces? It's all a blur... I just need to get home. They're all alone, but there's no one here to help me get to them. I hear sirens... an ambulance? Police? What's going on? I forget why I'm here... Am I asleep? Somebody's touching me, carrying me. I want to scream, "Put me down!" but my mouth won't move. I'm laying down... in a vehicle? Where am I going? Where are they taking me? Am I going to die? I... can't breathe...

All I see is white, everything is blurry... I can tell I've stopped moving. Everything is still. Blink, blink, my eyes are less blurry. I'm in a hospital. What happened?I see a nurse, and a bunch of patients. I know the nurse can't see them, they're all dead. I've always seen the dead, and I've seen angels and demons too. Traumatic at first, but if I said anything, people would think I was crazy. I'd be taken away from my sisters, then they'd be all alone. "You still need to rest. Your vitals are pretty low considering all the blood you lost," the nurse tells me. She's middle aged and has short blonde hair. Her eyes are reddish brown. "Yea," I mumbled in response. I closed my eyes, pretending to rest. Footsteps, door open, footsteps, door close. I opened my eyes, the dead patients were gone. They must have followed that nurse.
I tried to sit up, but it was difficult with all the tubes surrounding me and needles in my arms. Along with the obstacles, my head felt like it was split open, so I gave up and just layed down. I needed to get out. I needed one of those angels to fix me, I've seen them do it before. But will they come? Knowing my luck, they won't. I need to get home still. I'll have to stand the pain. I pulled the IVs out of my arms and all the other equipment connected to me. I sat up and nearly crumpled over from the pain, but I'm strong, I'll handle it. I turned and stood up. I turned off the heart monitor. It's long beep was annoying. I found my clothes at the end of my bed on a table. I quickly changed out of the hospital gown and got back into my jeans and shirt. I put on my sunglasses and walked to the window to see what floor I was on. First floor, lucky me. I opened the large window all the way and jumped out. The few feet to the ground should have been nothing, but I fell down, wobbly from the loss of blood. I got up and ran. I couldn't be caught, so I ran like there was tomorrow. I could hear a few shrieks and shouts from the hospital, but thankfully no one ran after me.
I kept running until I got to the city. I got away as fast as I could. Would an ambulance be sent to find me? Maybe a team of police were called to search for me? I didn't do anything wrong though. I was about to collapse, but I couldn't do that. I didn't want to draw attention to myself. I suddenly became lost. I had no idea where I was going. Which way was home? I walk through here every day, why am I so confused? I looked up and saw an angel. I've never seen this one before. He looked right at me too. Most angels ignored the fact that I could see them. I could tell we both had the same expression on. Shock. I stared at him. I knew he wasn't going to heal me, he was going to let me die, and I knew why. He was going to make me an angel. I knew at that moment we would be together forever. Nothing mattered anymore. I still could watch over my sisters, though they wouldn't be able to see me. What a change. At that moment, I became a whole different person. He flew down to me and kissed my forehead. I couldn't see his face anymore, and I couldn't remember it. I fell and he caught me, then everything went black.
