A Kitten Called Trouble (Or Indy)
About a week ago I found a kitten. I saw her tail as she ran through the flowers. At first I thought it was Shiba (one of my other cats), but I followed her and finally got a good look at her. It wasn't Shiba, but one of her kittens from a litter she abandoned a few months ago! I'd thought they all died, but apparently one was tough enough to make it. One eye was matted shut because of a leaf that had been stuck in it. I caught her and brought her inside. My mom got the leaf and gunky stuff out of the eye and I held the kitten for a while. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep in my arms. heart I had to put her outside so that I could go ride Dakota though, since my mom is incredibly stubborn and won't let me keep a cat in the house anymore. The next morning I woke up and my aunt told me that my kitten had gone for a ride. I thought somebody had picked her up and dropped her off somewhere because they didn't like her. That's what people around here do sometimes to animals that become a nusiance. They take them in their car and dump them somewhere else. Usually it's called "taking it for a ride". Well, that's not what happened this time. The kitten had crawled into the frame of my mom's truck and rode all the way to work with her. A guest at the restraunt had said there was a kitten outside, so she went to look. Sure enough, it was my kitten. xd She put her in a box in one of the offices and my aunt came and got her. After that I had two names in mind. Trouble, or Indy (As in Indiana Jones). After that I brought her in at night when my mom had to open so that it wouldn't happen again. Of course, something had to go wrong, right? I went to bring her in the next night and couldn't catch her. I started sometime around 6:30 and missed church because I was chasing her around. By 10:00 I still hadn't caught her. The next morning I got up at 4:00 to jump up and down on the truck and scare her out if she was in it. She wasn't, and I caught her again later that day. That night I got her inside just fine. Ah, but she pooped in the kennel. I waited until it dried and shook it off of the rug that was in the kennel. I sprayed it with pet odor remover and put it back. I didn't want to put her in there when it was wet though, and I had to take a bath. My mom and aunt were both asleep in the living room, so they couldn't hold her, so I took her in the bathroom with me. She kept mewing when I was in the tub and stood up on her hind legs to look at me. Finally she jumped onto the edge of the tub and put her front paws on the water before she actually jumped in! 3nodding Yup. The cat jumped into the tub. That was when she discovered she didn't like water. I helped her out and she spent the rest of the time licking herself off. I put her back in the kennel when I was done. The next day I kept her with me most of the time. I thought maaaaybe I could convince my mom to let her stay inside if she was good enough that day. Didn't work, of course. She had pooped in the kennel again, and my mom and aunt said it would be fine if I let her stay outside since my mom wasn't opening the next morning. So, like the idiot I am, I believed them. Yesterday I saw her on the front porch...There wasn't very much left of her. Just her head and some intestines....Something killed her, but I don't know what did it... Well, that's the last pet I'm going to want for quite a while. I don't even know if I'll ever get another cat. cry I miss Indy.
