Only once the darkness is all-consuming can the light be shown.
Hahvoc

Around the middle of the Eighteenth Century, in the house of Mizeri, a rare child was born. Birthed from a Dark Fae and a Vampire of the High Order, Hahvoc came to be. And she was trained as a Death Dealer and the Mizeri assassin.

Her mother, Wellesandra, a special breed of Dark Fae able to use the Shadows for many purposes, met Qhuinn, Hahvoc's father, through a contest. During the final round, the two faced off and, fell in love through combat. But, it was forbidden. Because of Qhuinn's birth right and position in the Aristocracy, the leader of his Clan threatened to kill Wellesandra if she bore his Mark. The Mark is a symbol of possession placed upon the neck for all to see, as well as a symbol of engagement. Due to the threat, Qhuinn spoke directly to the King about his engagement and was given permission to wed. But at a price. Their First Born was to be presented to the King and given judgment at exactly age nine. Life or death was to be decided.

Wellsie and Qhuinn were soon wed, but in fear for the child they would bear. Half a century after their union, they bore a beautiful daughter with yellow eyes and rare gifts. Like her mother, she could control the shadows to her will and sense different magick, along with the ability to control and form ice. From her father, she gained telekinesis and a rare telepathy. She could hear the surface thoughts of others and that was all. But unlike her parents, she could tolerate day light. As she aged rapidly, maturing quicker than either Fae or Vampire, she learned absolute control of her abilities, impressing even the Ghardians of the race with her intelligence and skill. By age nine, she resembled a mature female. And she was sent to be judged. The King was shocked, fascinated, and furious that a dhampire such as her developed so quickly.

Hahvoc stood before the King with a calm reserve, her senses tingling as she felt something monumental was going to happen. Would the King kill her? As she gazed into his emerald orbs, she knew something worse was going to happen. As he rose from his chair, rising to six-foot-eight, topping her by a foot, he summoned one of the Relics. A Relic was a vampire with the ability to curse or bless, depending on the will of the King. And as Hahvoc gazed upon this particular Relic, she knew she was to be cursed. Grabbing her by the throat, the King lifted her off her feet as the Relic chanted the curse that would forever mark her. Her father and mother could only watch in horror.

After the Marking was completed, Hahvoc's right eye changed to a deep purple that would show her the deaths of those around her. But there was no time to these visions, just the taking of life. Gazing at her parents in shock, she did not understand what she had done, why this was done to her. Turning to stare at her King, she saw nothing until his hand grasped her throat once more, but more gently this time. Her eye was consumed by blackness and words flew from her mouth.

"Those you have forsaken shall be given justice.
The Night no longer your beloved.
The Son awaits you at the gates of Hell.
The End will only bring more suffering unto you."

The King dropped her like she was aflame, his skin pale, eyes peeled wide as grapes from the words she spoke. Sucking in air, she stood, regaining her composure and air of calm as her mind raced from what she had seen. She had never shed tears before, but now they fell free as she wept for her sanity.

For the decades and centuries to come, she Saw many things that haunted her nights. The voices never stopped and the visions always came. But she coped for the sake of her family. She killed on command, protected the species, and kept her mind safe by avoiding physical contact, but it wasn't always enough. Some times her visions weren't of death, but of battles and war, or were just plain important. And just like all her visions, they came true, especially the night the King's forsaken son returned and killed him, damning his soul to Hell. The King was burned alive in the light of the Sun. Soon, the race was in shambles, the house of Mizeri fell. And Hahvoc was alone.

After a century of wandering and dealing in death, She chose a more simple life in the human world, blending in amongst the populace. She still had her father's need for blood but only needed to sate herself every few months. She befriended other vampires from far away, some humans, a werewolf, and even a Light Fae. But she never let anyone close, and that was how she wanted it, much as it pained her lonely heart. She learned to use the weapons of the current era, the newer gun models, but preferred to use the katana she had received upon entering the Death Dealers. The blade was double-sided, black, etched with silver script, and six feet long.
