First, below-the-line TV, film, and theatre work. Tedious, thankless, and often dangerous. We do it because of some sick fetish.

Next: pharmacy. It's true that dentists have the highest rate of suicide, as a result of the often unadulterated loathing they get from their patients, but they're hardly the most spat upon profession in health care. "You're not a doctor, what do you know?" Just because your physician thinks he's god doesn't make it true. If they're gods, they're not omniscient ones.

"Do we carry enteric-coated aspirin?"

I'm paying thousands of dollars a year, and studying until my eyes bleed, for this?

I suppose it helps to know that at the end of the day, you've saved lives, or at least attempted to, or at least recommended a laxative without snickering. And no matter how much abuse you take, you know you're right.
