Shania Twain is my absolute favorite artist and role model. All of you should know this by now at least. She's had a very hard life and worked like a dog to get to where she is now. In 1993, she decided to "go country". She cut and released her first album, Shania Twain, but it wasn't very successful. After performing at Fanfare, a country music festival in Nashville, she received a call from rock producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange. He saw her talent and wanted to produce her next album. She agreed and they paired up and worked on the album tenaciously. They cowrote every song together. The couple married after 6 months of dating, I think. The album went on to sell over 18 million copies! Shania released her third, and probably most famous album of all time Come on Over, in 1997. Once again, they both cowrote all of the songs together and Mutt produced the album. 34 MILLION COPIES AND STILL SELLING! Then in 2001, they had a child together. Shortly after, she released Up!, which has sold at least more than 2 million copies. She went on tour. In 2004, she released a greatest hits album, and released 3 singles with videos. Ever since then, she has retreated to her home in Switzerland, staying out of the spotlight. She created two perfumes and is supposed to be working on an album due this year. In spite of all this, Mutt decided they "grew apart". After 15 years of blissful marriage, Shania Twain is getting a divorce! After all they've been through! There was no fighting reported, no tension between the two, or any of that mess that could've led to a sign. In December of 2007, Shania was on the cover of Redbook magazine, and everything was going fine. She had no idea this was coming. That poor woman was devastated. Sound familiar?! One more catastrophe she has to overcome. It hurts me! She did everything right! She kept herself, her child, and even her husband out of the media's spotlight. THEY WERE FREAKING IN A CASTLE TOGETHER IN SWITZERLAND FOR 4 YEARS AND HE CLAIMS THEY GREW APART?! Oh, and get this: he fell for the nanny, or so they say. Shania was good friends with her. scream THAT IDIOT HAD SHANIA TWAIN OF ALL PEOPLE!
