I had a netball match last night. And trust me, all that training our team has been having has actually paid off.
When we was first moved into the higher league, we played a team called The Pink Ladies. And because we was used to winning by about 30 goals, losing by at least 10 was a big shock for us. We knew we had to play this team 3 times. The first 2 games was dreadful, we lost badly. But last night we showed that we wasnt g'na go out without a fight and we only lost by 3 goals. 3 goals? To a team whose youngest player is at least 25? Surley that aint bad....Considering our youngest player is me.
I must admit it was a really good game. I was GA for 3 quarters. And let me tell you, my shooting was weeeeeeeeell good. I aint bragging or nothing but I was on the edge of the semi-circle most of the time and every time I did shoot the ball didnt even lick the ring, it just went straight through. I was like "Whoo-Hoo!!"
Our coaches wasn't even there to see us play. They was playing - PLAYING!!! - in another match. Their loss, I mean, they missed their team play well good.....
I've got to go now. Guess what? I'm off too do more netball...
