Waiting for you, Waiting without reason |

You said you needed some time to get it all together, I said that it’s alright; I would be here forever, You walked down that road, leaving me with these flowers I thought it would only be a sec, not this many hours, The flowers are dead, my legs are weak, Those blue skies we created have now become bleak, This once beautiful garden is now barren and cold My heart is frozen shut, my bodies become old, Yet I still wait for you, here in this same spot, I keep telling myself that you just forgot, That you’re still coming, that you’ll say the roses are perfect, And that we’ll run down this road, and never reflect, But the snow keeps falling, and my hands are numb My thoughts begin to turn, and I try to run, But my legs are frozen still, my thoughts succeed, I begin to realize that I’m not what you need, I begin to wonder, why am I still here? Am I here because I love you, or is this out of fear? And as I wonder, snow falling on my face, holding this dead rose, Why am I still waiting? Nobody knows....
