well today was the speech contest
at my school
and i was one of the chosen few
to be in it
i usually go every year,
but fifth grade didnt work out to well
but that's besides the point!
anway, i had to go last
and i guess thats a good thing
but the suspens was KILLING me!
i just wanted to go up there
and just talk! lol
it was finally my turn
and something insided me
just burst
i had a fiery passion
about what i was talking about
even if i didnt agree with most of my speech (LOL)
it was amazing
but what touched me the most
was my dad
now i have never seen him cry
other than the time his mom died
but that doesnt count
as i was about to end my speech
tears were in my dad's eyes
my own superman of a dad
almost cried
that meant so much to me
and all this time
i thought he never really cared
what i did
im speechless....
(how ironic)
after everyone was done
the awards were given
i ended up getting first
(which was surprising)
i thought my friend was going to win
but yeah
i thought i would just share that
exciting bit of my life with you
yup yup!
