let me tell you guys a story about the sweetest thing in this world..
here it goes..
Once upon a time, there was a king who is kind and intelligent. This king I'm talking about often wandered on the streets in disguise because he loved to listen to his people's conversations.
One night, while walking in the garden, he heard four girls whispering. He hid and listen to what they're talking about.
The first girl said, "the sweetest thing in this world is meat."
The king thought, "why meat?"
Because according to the girl, she sees so many people come into the butcher's shop, their mouths watering, and no one ever wastes a single bite.
But the second girl just laughed at the first girl's opinion.
"Meat could not compare with wine." said the second girl.
The king again thought about it and ask, "why wine?"
Because she said, she often sees people getting drunk, tripped and humiliated because of wines but still expect after that they'll be drinking again.
The king thought that the second girl has a point.
Then the third girl said that the answers of the two girls are nonsense.
She said, "nothing is as sweet as love."
Because according to her, if its not, then her mother would not be filled with so much joy whenever her father was near and that couples wouldn't laugh as much while they're in love.
But of course like all stories of the sort, there are other answers because there are four girls. Three of them already said their opinion about the sweetest thing in the world.
And for the fourth girl, what is the sweetest thing in the world?
She answered, "love and wine and meat maybe sweet but nothing in the world is as sweet as a lie."
The king thought, "what could be so sweet about a lie?"
But before the fourth girl explain her answer, the girls said that it's getting late and that they need to get back home. So, what the king did was secretly follow the fourth young woman to where she lived. The next morning he sent his minister to go to the tiny gray door and to bring the man who lived there to the palace.
When the man living in the tiny gray door came to the palace, the king asked if the man have a daughter. The man said yes he have and that her name is "Khalida". Then the man asked if her daughter did something wrong. The king said she didn't do anything but he wanted to see the man's daughter. So, the king asked the man to bring his daughter tomorrow to the palace.
The next day, the old man brought Khalida to the king. The king asked while looking Khalida's lovely eyes why she thought telling lies was the sweetest thing in the world.
Khalida then answer, "because everyone does it. There is nothing else everyone does."
But of course the king begged to disagree. The king told Khalida that many people don't lie. Khalida shook her head and insisted that everyone lied. Then she told the king the even he will lie one day..
But since the king thought he is thoroughly honest, he said he could not imagine that happening.
To which Khalida said, "Your Majesty, if you will give me a thousand rupees, in six months i can prove what i said to you."
The king agreed and gave Khalida what she wants. Six months later, she sent a message to the king inviting him to visit the beautiful house she had built not far away. At once the king set off, taking two ministers with him. When they arrived at her home they stared in wonder because it was more beautiful than his own palace. When Khalida saw them, she explained that that was only natural because it was the house of God..
But Khalida could sense that the king was hesitant in believing what she said. So,she promise them she was telling the truth and that they could go inside to see for themselves she was telling the truth.
But she reminded them of two things: first, God reveals Himself only to one person at a time; and second, He would not reveal Himself to anyone who had sinned.So, the king sent his first minister and told him to tell him what he saw. So, the minister entered the house of God. He thought is was indeed the house of God. He waited there but saw nothing. And so he began to worry.
If he will go out and tell them he did not see anything, he need to admit that he committed sins. And so he shouted that he saw God inside . The king asked what did God tell him. The minister said that he was told not to tell anybody about what they talked about.
Then the king sent his second minister inside the house. Like the first minister, he saw nothing and when he went out of the house the king asked him if he saw God. The minister said yes but was also told not to tell anything about what they have talked about.
It was the king's turn to enter. He was confident at first but when he came in and saw nothing, his heart sank. How could both his ministers see God and he couldn't? How had he sinned? He could not remember anything he had done wrong and so he felt embarrassed. He came out of the house and looked sheeply at the two ministers and Khalida.
Khalida asked the king if he saw God. He lowered his head and said 'he did.' Khalida asked him again, and again he said 'yes.' Khalida asked him three times, and each time he said 'yes.' Khalida laughed and said, "Your Majesty, God is a spirit. No one can see a spirit." Upon hearing that, the king admitted he had lied. Then the two ministers confessed that they had, too.
So Khalida went to the king and explained that sometimes, we tell lies to save our selves, but that he was a king and had nothing to fear from a poor girl. That he must lied because the lie itself tasted sweet.
