The Rich and the Poor
Well..I have been wanting to write this entry, or something like it for a while now. I have no particular reason for writing it other than it's been a thought drifting in the back of my head that seems to pop up every once in a while on gaia, and I want to take it as an opportunity to thank people. ^^;; It's the whole deal of the "rich" and "poor" on gaia. People here really seem to single people out. You have mostly cheap clothes, or not too fancy of items, you're automatically considered poor. And frankly, people tend to not have so much of a heart for such people, often because they seem to be quick to assume they're "noobs." Same goes for the "rich." People seem to assume you're just a snot nose stuck up greedy person who spends all their money on gaia. For both of those..I just think they're harsh stereotypes. But mostly I wanted to write this for the "rich" issue. People have called me "rich" or whined that I have so much stuff. And really, it bothers me sometimes. ^^;; I'm not rich. I have never spent a dime on gaia, not because I'm greedy or a pennypincher, simply because I'd rather save my money for other things. I have never gone to someone to beg. The reason is simple- friends. I'd take a guess at saying maybe 70% of my inventory are gifts from friends. I never ask for a gift, never say "ohh it's my birthday/gaiaversary/half birthday/dog's birthday/etc. plz gift meh! I have some very wonderful friends, and they have given me a lot out of the kindness of their hearts. This then, is a main reason I wanted to write this. ^^;; It is to thank each and every one of you for all you've done for me. I would keep a list of all of you who have donated to me, but I don't wish for people to seek you out and beg for you to give them something O.x (Yes, I've had people ask me which friends gave me stuff before..with the intentions of probably begging, sad to say =/) So yeah..just wanted to get out my thoughts about the whole rich/poor deal. ^^;; And thanks again to all my wonderful friends ^___^
