This is a story I started writing several years ago. I just decided to start it over and make it better. confused

Prelude

My eyes did not leave the image of my reflection. The water was unbroken and filled me with terror.

"Hello...? Are you there?" There was no response.

Slowly, while on my hands and knees, I lifted my arm and placed my palm to the ocean's surface. It passed through breaking the solid texture into tiny ripples which faded quickly. The cold liquid felt normal now. It really was just water.

So it was true than. It was over. He was gone...

What you are about to read is my story. I don't expect you to take it seriously and it you are looking for a good laugh I suggest you try another section of the library. This is no happy tale.

I can assure you that everything written here is truth, it is fact. I have no reason to lie or exaggerate the truth. Thus if you are not prepared to continue, close the book and forget you even found it. I promise I won't take offence. Otherwise, I will continue.

This... is how it happened...

Log 1

Madge flung her back pack over her shoulder, picked up her shoe and while hopping on one foot, tried to place the runner on her foot. A piece of burnt toast hung from her mouth and her jacket lay drooped over her shoulder.

"Don't forget your lunch!" Her mother called as Madge was half way out the door.

A sigh slipped passed the food she clung to with her teeth as she turned on her heel and dashed back into the kitched. She scooped up her lunch bag and added it to her already over crowded pile of school requirements.

Yelling a muffed "by mom! I love you!" she took off down the path from the front of her house and nearly collided with her friend.

"Hey! Hey! Watch it! Last I checked my bones will break if i hit the pavement. I'm no air bag!" Cora complained in her Cora like way.

Finally getting the toast down her throat Madge managed an apology. "I'm just running late again."

Cora shook her head. "Anyways! Let's get going!"

* * * * *

"So how many hot boys do you expect we will see?" Nichole, Madge's pink cheeked, make-up and fashion fanatic friend asked as she dropped her fluffy pink bag on Madge's desk.

"There better be a lot!" Cora exclaimed.

Madge sighed a little irratated with her boy crazy friends. "I don't much care," she said lifting Nichole's bag off her lunch kit.

"Well I certainly hope some cute blondes will be swimming around," Nichole continued.

"Or some with light brown hair," Cora added seriously.

"We aren't going to the beach to pick up boyfriends. This is a field trip for science. Studing the male body is what we do in sex ED, or on our own time," Madge said removing the crushed sandwhich from her lunch kit.

"I don't see what your issue is Madge," Nichole shot back. "How can you not care about the tight, built and smooth male body," she continued practically giving herself shivers.

"Easy. I pretend they are all a bunch of potatoes walking around in my father's underwear. It turns you off pretty fast."

"That's nasty Madge!" Cora cried looking rather sick.

Madge smirked. "You asked."
