Poems: Any Shape, Any Kind, Any Feelings!
Irish Wish

Green to the eye, warm to the heart.
Stones reaching far and wide.
Where do I start? Can't miss a part
of this glorious land or leave it behind.

Wrapped in lamb abroad, silver on my hand
as well as on my neck and ear.
Such a strong band, to this fertile land
my heart shall never leave here.

What will I do with my heart away?
Should I stay or leave with tear?
What lonely days, to live life this way.
With my heart so far, yet so near.

Barely out of my reach of my finger tips,
over the wide, blue sea.
But some day a young pip will come across my lips
and bring back sweet Ireland to me.

We'll settle in a cottage built for two,
then extend to three or four.
And all this is true because I'm telling you
my heart has never longed for anything more.

For here I stand at an irish wishing well,
with one or two little, cute fish.
As I started to tell, my heart it did swell,
for all of this is truely my irish wish.
