Tis 2008... so I figured I'd sit back and take a look at what this will mean for me so far as Gaia goes...
I don't currently see anything coming up in the year that would make me quit Gaia altogether... but I do think I should spend less time on it (coughcoughwhileatworkcough). XD But... I've been thinking that for a long time now... soooo... eh... doubt that'll happen. n__n
I've decided to never do any RPs over PMs again. They just seem to end badly I guess. I dunno... in a thread based RP I never have people doubting me for having writer's block, and they don't constantly question if I want to quit and am just too much of a coward (I'm assuming) to admit that. If I want to quit... well I will. Sometimes I don't want to though. I'll hold onto an RP way too long trying to figure out where to go with it... but I guess that seems like disinterest. Sucks... but the nature of the internet. People can't get into your head to know that you really do still like the RP.
I also think, on that same line... I'm not doing any 1x1 RPs with people I haven't RP'd with before. They just don't know my habits, ya know, and might take it personally if the 1x1 gets little attention from me for a while. That's why it's cool with people I already RP and chat with... they won't get worried about me leaving. I'm like a loyal old basset hound. I might not be that exciting, and sometimes it seems like I do nothing, but you can rest assured I'm going no where. XD But... to those who I have ended RPs with because I supposedly don't want to do them anymore... please know I loved the RPs... had tons of fun... and honestly, only stopped because I hate making people wait and worry. u__u
Other than the 1x1 and PM issues... I have a lot of RPs going right now (as listed in my profile), and with any luck they'll take me decently into this year. =) Farewell to a couple older ones. Always sad to see them go.
I'm running an art auction that ends at the end of February... and am in a joint one that ends on Valentine's Day. n__n Things are looking pretty good so far as the auctions go. On the solo auction I'm at 80k, which is a nice little bunch of virtual monies. In the joint auction the bid is at 2 million (damn I love riding other people's coattails XD). Granted... there are 11 of us, so that's only going to be... umm... I'd figured it out and now I forgot. 180k ish or something each? Yeah, I'm feeling too lazy for math at the moment. n__n So... that'll net Pyon some funds to buy virtual stuffs with.
I think I need to get some serious base refs of my characters down again, once I have money again, so that I can buy some more art of my peoples. Nothing makes me quite as happy as getting art of my characters. <3
My art shop... ah it's going to be completely re-hauled again once I go to reopen it. New name... new characters to welcome people into the shop. I might make up a character design JUST for that purpose. My own shop keeper. n_n My pricing will also be reevaluated, along with what I will and won't offer. I love getting virtual monies... but I need to think deeply about this. Yes... I could charge a LOT for art that I put a lot of effort into... and therefore do about a picture a week... or I could drop my pricing and do some quicker and less refined pics. I'll just have to play around and see. Many at low prices and (probably) lower stress... or few at higher prices and the semi high stress of before.
And that is all the Gaian news that's fit to be print at the moment I think. n__n
What... I don't talk about my real life in my Gaian journals much... deal. XD
