The woman ran through the street she could hear them still behind her. She had heard the stories that they had been hunting at night but her dated didn't believe such things. So instead of canceling and resetting the date he picked her up and they when out. Mid way through their date the things had struck and killed the man she now ran through the street calling for help. Ran heard the woman from his shelter for the night and got up groggily to investigate seeing the creatures he smiled though hurt came to his eyes as the woman’s perfume came to him. It was the same as hers. the same as Emily's his first and only love that these creatures had killed simply because they could. Drawing his knife he ran out into the street cutting off the creatures from their prey. The woman looked back to see her rescuer but ran yelled in a gruff voice "run now! And don’t look back..." she only nodded and ran harder only to trip a few yards away. Muttering under his breath Ran moved to the lady faster than a normal human and picked her up running quickly. By the time she realized what had happened he had set her down holding a finger to his lips.
"thank yo-" was all the more she got out before his hand was over her mouth as he slowly shook his head and leaned forward whispering "stay here and stay quiet." she nodded a few times. He got up and drew his claymore walking back out into the street he sped his legs shoulders with apart and charges the creatures with one swing he cuts them all down. His eyes filled with hate that had not been seen since the night of her death. their bodies quickly changed to dust and blew away he looked over his shoulder at the woman and walked over to her sheathing his sword "are you hurt?" he asks gently. She looks up at him and shudders slightly she had seen him on the news too. They said he was considered armed and a dangers and not to be approached. She tried to move back but her legs wouldn't move she inhaled deeply getting ready to scream. Ran was quicker and knew what to look for quickly his hand was over her mouth again "I’m sorry," he whispered, "but it looks like I have to take you with me now" she looked at him fear in her eyes but suddenly her eyes felt so heavy as uncounsusness found her

this was the first meeting of Ran and shara...and it will not be their last
