Viral Infection
In the morning I was absolutely fine, but when I got on to the computer later I felt very cold, and shaky. So I went off the computer and went into bed, with like three blankets on me, curling up. My mom came home and she was like "HI." and I was like "I don't feel good. Can you make me food?" So my mom made a TV Dinner and I ate three pieces of chicken, (my stomach felt weird) I wanted to eat, but then I didn't want to eat. It was hard to eat. So I just ate the chicken and left the corn, mac n cheese ect. (EVEN THE PUDDING!!!) alone. Then I went onto the couch, curled up in blankets, and watched TV for hours. It started being really hard to breathe. When I tried to breath deep breaths, my lungs felt constricted, and every time I tried to breath the right side of my abdomin had a sharp pain. I also drank A LOT of water. Like crazy.
I told my mom about it, then she suggested Advil. I said no. Then I told her more about it, then she started getting nervous 'cause she said it sounded like appendicitis (Ap-pen-dee-sy-dous) But basically, it sounded like my appendix was infected. (If it was infected, I'd have to get surgery) It's some kind of disease that comes to young people (I am 13, female) and it comes out of the blue, like what I have explained.
Anyway, my mom called my docter and he said that I should be taken to the ER immediately. (Emergency Room, Hospital) When I stood up, everything was dizzy and I kept stumbling. It was hard to walk. I had to get clothes on (I was in my pajamas the whole time) and it was really... Agh. I kept freaking out because I was falling over. Anyway... Let's skip ahead.
My mom accidently locked the car keys in the house. So she had to go to the neighbors to get an extra key. It was about 20 minutes when we finally left. She told her friend Kelly (she's a girl) on the phone that I wouldn't be at Piano lessons because of what was going on.
I got to the ER, and I had to wait a long time. I could here this retard (well he sounded like a retard) calling this fat girl sexy. I was like O_O.
Anyway... It turns out someone SKIPPED MY TURN by accident. Then they examined me, asking what happened, (skips ahead) They hooked me up in this room, they told me to pee in a cup, take my blood, (the blood part was the worst) yada yada... I hated it when I had to sit there for 5 hours while that tube stayed in my arm, putting water or whatever in my vein.
ANYWAY... Skip skippity skip skip. Sorry, I love going into detail. AAANNNNEEEEWAAAAYYYYY
I had to drink this huge thing... Like a gallon (or half a gallon? It was alot) of Redi-Cat (I just had to drink the whole thing) and it tasted like rotten orange juice. And I've had rotten orange juice before.
Then I threw up a whole bunch of it, and my mom was freaking out because she thought I would have to drink it all over again. (I threw up... a lot.... ew...) But the docter said I didn't have to drink anymore.
Anyway, I went into the cat scan, and I had to close my eyes and hold my breath for a long time. They gave me breaks where I could breathe, but I had to hold my breath alot. When they had the results, the doctor said the scan showed no enlarged something or other... So it must be just a virus I have. Today I have to go to the docter again so that they keep a close eye on me, so that it doesn't increase.
All of this happened yesterday, 11/6/07. The day before that (the 5th) my dad had a screaming (and harsh cursing) fight in the house, and he revealed to her that he was planning on divorcing her in January, but he decided to do it now. If you want the whole story about the divorcing, see my blog.
I thought that I fell ill because of stress over the issue, but... Maybe it was just chance.
EDIT: The docs found it it was Mono.
