I wish you were around,
but you're never really there,

I wish that you would stay here longer then one day,
but you're never going to stay here,

I wish that I could tell you "good bye" right to your face,
I wish that you could just leave for good,
I wish that you could be forgoten,
I wish I could go back to "our place"
I wish that you had a heart,
I wish that you could think,

but what I wish, most of all is,
that my feelings for you would just sink.

find your self another girl,
I'm not Rupunzle, locked up in a tower,
don't need a prince to save me,
I can rescue my self.

if you wanna ride up on a white horse,
and rescue a damsile in distress,
you've got the wrong girl.

I'm not another Cinderella,
I'm not locked in a cellar waiting for my prince to come pull me out,
a girl can be the hero too,
it's not only men who are strong.
hope you weren't wearin' those tights for long.

I'm not like Snow White,
I'm not that easily deseived,
if you're lookin' for a girl who'll go weak in the knees,
she ain't me.
