Profile (POTC): Alexandria Elisa Barbossa
Character Name: Alexandria Elisa Barbossa
Familiar AKA: Alex, Alexander and Elisa (Jack only: God only knows why)
Notorious AKA: The Crimson Tide
Age: around 27 (That’s just apparent. Her actual age would be around 37, based on Hector being in his 50’s)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'4.5"
Height: 125
Eye Color: Ice Blue, piercing and bright. Often filled with a somewhat lunatic light.
Hair Color: Brown
Occupation: Pirate

Other: She owns a pet ferret called Diego. She loves apples almost as much as her father does. He’d give her apple juice laced with rum when she was little (which turned into a kind of apple flavored rum as she grew older). 'Good Morning' is her standard greeting (It disturbs people, at first; then, they get used to it; then, they begin to say it by accident; then, they say it often; eventually, She converts them completely.).

Appearance: (Asian influence) Her picture (WIP not quite done yet)
Her skin color is tanned due to being out on the open sea. Her hair is layered to various lengths, though she does have a thin hip long braid.
Layer 1 (head): A long strip of red cloth ripped from her shirt/kimono acting as a bandana.
Layer 2: (inner most): A red (with blue designs of Asian origin) ripped shirt/kimono (ripped to her midriff). Lose Brown pants and black knee high boots. A white glove appears on her left hand.
Layer 3: A brown belt with a blue trim holding her shirt/kimono closed. A Purple skirt (with blue and red designs of Asian origin. It’s knee high in length)
Layer 4: The rest of her ripped shirt/kimono (it stops just about a few inches above the knee in length)
Layer 5 (outer most): a simple brown belt.
Weapons: Her twin scimitars are stationed on her back. Her twin daggers and pistol are both stationed at her hip.

Personality: Alexandria is generally a calculating woman and cunning. She had to be, in order to help outsmart Jack Sparrow in the mutiny twelve years ago. She is, however, prone to occasional outbursts of irrationality; a side-effect, perhaps, of being cursed.

Despite her gender, Alexandria still has the strength of many younger men, reflexes and agility to rival Will Turner's, and an almost supernatural toughness and endurance. This is offset, however, by a growing lunacy and irrationality within her. It doesn't interfere with her cunning or uncanny knack for striking the right deal, but it is there.

Perhaps the most defining characteristic of Alexandria is her greed and lust for power and treasure; the many mutinies she has assisted are evidence of this. Being a growing lunatic certainly exacerbates this condition; before, she might have hesitated to kill when it wasn't really necessary. Now, if someone's in her way and they don't have a damn good reason to be there, she wouldn't even pause as she ran them through and moved on in her drive for satisfaction.

Strengths: Alexandria is very proficient swordsman with her twin East Asian Scimitars, having been wielding a blade since she was a child. Also as stated above she is a calculating woman and cunning and is never short of a cunning or irrational plan.

Weaknesses: The ability to keep something clean: Her cabin is always a mess (She is not really comfortable until it is). Her greed: She will go to great and sometimes insane lengths to get what she desires. As stated above she is prone to occasional and random outbursts of irrationality.

Belongings: Alexandria owns two East Asian Scimitars, made of the finest steel by a master swordsmith. Their edge is razor-sharp, with a weight to match her strength. It is an excellent sword, a perfect fit for Alexandria’s skilled hands. A matching daggers ride alongside the blades, it’s equal in most every respect but size. And the fact that it is a dagger.

To accompany her matching blades, Alexandria also has a matchless pistol. It is a single-barreled gun, larger and sturdier then normal pistols to accommodate greater loads of powder, and it packs quite a punch.

History: Alexandria Barbossa was born in Portugal, to Hector and Isabella Barbossa. Hector was a pirate, not yet well known at the time, and thus the young family was well off (a bit higher then your avenge middle class family). Young Alexandria showed a certain innate skill in the swordsman's art at the age of six, something which her father secretly encouraged.

Alexandria was a mischievous child, always getting into trouble and devising fantastic ways of getting back out; being able to fight her way in either direction certainly helped. An active childhood led up to adolescence, where she became a sturdy young lady even more adept then before at trouble-making. However, she would be forced to grow up sooner then the natural order of things would dictate.

One night, when Alexandria was thirteen, a trio of thugs slipped into the house, intent on robbing the family blind. This was a night when Alexandria stayed up to secretly practice swordsmanship; thus, when the thugs entered her bedroom looking for Hector, the lass was ready for them. One of the thugs died right away, with a bullet through his eye; the second died at young Alexandria's blade. The third managed to get away. Alexandria snuck up on the thief and stabbed him through the back; the falling body knocked over an oil lantern, which broke and spread its flames.

Isabella, who a year ago had been stricken with a mysterious wasting illness, and was only a few short weeks away from death, shoved their family's money into Hector's hands and told him and Alexandria to get out before they were burned. Numbly, Alexandria obeyed and followed her father. The night's events changed Alexandria forever, perhaps even laying the seeds of the lunacy, like her father, that would later consume her. But it would be at this point that Alexandria would now be portrayed as a young lad and introduced as Alexander.

The next fourteen years of Alexandria’s life were much like any other sailor, except more violent and bloody. She began as a cabin boy on an independent merchant vessel at her father’s side; three years later she helped her father to convince the officers to mutiny, indeed leading the charge against captain and crew herself. However the first mate, now captain, had apparently learned from young Alexandria and her father, and ordered the two stranded on a nearby island. They escaped two weeks later by bargaining their way onto a passing warship of the British Royal Navy; the captain, noting her skill with the blade, told them they should join up.

The two agreed. Again, however, she staged a mutiny on her own, and succeeded in capturing the vessel she was currently serving on. It was here that her career as a pirate truly began. Her skill with a blade, and the leadership qualities honed by the Navy, ensured her place.

However, she did one day meet her match, a seemingly drunken lout by the name of Jack Sparrow. Sparrow needed a crew, and he'd heard the pair were competent sailors. Her father, confident in his abilities, challenged Sparrow for the captaincy itself. Sparrow accepted, and in a stunning display of drunken proficiency, bested the older man. Hector, in good humor, acknowledged the wager and accepted the position of first mate while Alexandria took the position of quartermaster.

Again, however, the two would mutiny against their captain. She tricked Sparrow into revealing the location of the Chest of Cortez, their current objective, and that night they led a mutiny that resulted in Sparrow being marooned. The triumphant pair led the men to the Isla de Muerta, where the Chest of Cortez, with its cursed Aztec gold, awaited any who were foolish enough to seek it out.

Afterwards, of course, they were cursed. Undead revenants wandering the Caribbean condemned to never feeling the taste of food or drink or the touch of a woman or man in Alexandria’s case. What made it worse was that they didn't figure out they were cursed until they'd frittered the gold away. But they did figure it out, and in their desperation spent more of it, until the ancient stone chest was completely empty of the cursed coins.

What made them really mad was when they discovered the only way to break the curse was to return all the coins to the chest. With their blood on it. And not only had they sent Bootstrap Bill Turner to the bottom of the ocean, Bill had managed to send his coin off somewhere, likely to his family.

Thus began a massive treasure hunt, across the width and breadth of the Caribbean Sea. Over the next ten years, the undead pirates brought back each coin, one by one, and put them back into the Chest of Cortez. They also amassed a great amount of mundane treasure, but since they were cursed they couldn't enjoy it properly. So it piled up, and up, until the treasure of Isla de Muerta became almost as much of a legend as the demonic pirates aboard the Black Pearl.

Then there was one coin left, and they found it in Port Royal. Hector ordered an invasion, and the bloodthirsty murderers leaped at the opportunity, running through the town like a scourge. They found the coin, in the hands of one Elizabeth Swann, who was taken prisoner and brought before Alexandria, who later brought her before her father. She claimed the name Turner, and Hector kept her as a prisoner.

Later on, it was discovered that Will Turner, the true offspring of Bootstrap Bill, had teamed up with Jack Sparrow to rescue Elizabeth and regain the Pearl. And after many adventures, ranging from Port Royal to Tortuga to the Isla de Muerta itself, they succeeded. Jack defeated Hector in one final battle, with a little help from Will and Elizabeth. Hector was killed, of course, and his corpse was taken to the bottom of the sea when Isla de Muerta collapsed in on itself and was swallowed.

Among all this chaos Alexandria managed to escape her father’s grim fate on a small longboat. She was then ‘rescued’ by a sailor in a small sloop named Ivory Coast. Soon this sailor would come to realize that this would be a grave mistake on his part and soon Alexandria ‘helped’ him find his way to Davey Jones’ Locker. She commandeered the small vessel, casting aside her male guise for the time being, and ventured out on her own for the time being. So, once again Alexandria Barbossa sails the mortal planes, a mortal woman once again.
