Yup, just a random rant that I'm going to spew out because I need the gold. xD
I've started writing a HP fanfic and wanted to submit one to my favorite fanfics sites, FictionAlley.org. Which turned out to be easier said then done.
If you want your fic to be posted in schoogle (a place for novel length fanfics), it needs to be a certain amount of words per chapter, and at least a grand total of 30,000 words by the time the story is done. So that's out of the question. But I figured I wouldn't get that much writen anyways.
But then you need to get it beta read by someone. Which sort of isn't a big deal because there are pleanty of nice people on FA.org that are willing to beta read. If I can't find someone I'll pester a friend. xD
After that hubb lubb is over and you submit it, get ready for a 10 day wait while the admins (or something like them anyways) go over your fic and see if you need to fix anything or if there is a problem with the rating you posted for your fic. They said that usually it doesn't take 10 days, but ya never know.
And after that I got tired of reading the submission form. I'm sure there are other things that need to be done before, or after, or who knows what.
All that just so you can post a story for others to read....interesting.
I think we've run out of coffee at home. Which sucks. A lot. I'm done to my last cup, and honestly can't be bothered to get up and hunt for a full can of coffee powder. >< I'm so lazy today.
