religion
Religion is one of my favourite subjects at school. I love researching different religions at home, visiting different places of worship, etc. Even within my own family, Christianity (Church of Christ, Baptist, Anglican, Episcopal, and Catholic), Judaism, and Hinduism are represented.

In a magazine I get about current events and such, there was an article about a university that had installed foot baths for the Muslims who need to wash their feet several times a day (I apologize to our Islamic friends that I am ignorant of the details). The janitors were complaining that the bathroom floors would get all wet because the students washing their feet would wash them in the sink. Foot baths were installed to prevent this.

Many people became very angy, quoting the Bill of Rights. They said that 'Congress shall make no law respecting a religious establishment). The university claimed that the foot baths were also beneficial to athletes, but the fact remained that they were, indeed, mostly for the Muslim students.

I can't believe this article. PEOPLE, Congress ISN'T making a law respecting a religious establishment! A friggin' COLLEGE doesn't want their effing FLOORS to get wet! There is a difference! There are chapels in hospitals for families of the sick. Cross, Star of David, and crescent necklaces are sold at many popular stores. So why is everyone freaking out over a faucet?

These people seriously need to get over themselves and just let the students practice their religion in peace.
