Known by many names, Known by many different techniques, known throughout the ages. The legend killer.
Mitsuyoshi.
Age: unknown. Appearance: 23 Race: Japanese height: 6' Weight: 170 lbs. Eye: green Style: Left-handed. Strength: -record: 320 lbs. -Rumored: 500 lbs.
Bio: Not much is known about Mitsuyoshi. What is known is, the warrior began his life as a assassin, a Shinobi for hire. The ninja would train within many villages, fight many different warriors and the like. His life lead him to fight several times a day, losing near to none. Through his travels of hunting marks, aquiring lost or hidden treasures, a trip to a tomb changed his life. Within this tomb he remained for near six months. The ninja left this tomb a changed man, and left the life of the ninja.
As time passed, his clock stood still, seeming to have unnatural long life. The Man took advantages and began his quest for the most powerfulest swords that crossed this planet. And so, many swords and other items, including a wraith, Mitsuyoshi continued life as a wandering sword saint.
There is a few rumors about this man. One rumor is that Mitsuyoshi is a *Pirate, commanding his own ship. Anther is that there is a bounty on his head, for the murder of a ruler.
*He commands a flying vessel, but when RP are time-lined to a low technological era, the ship is a huge boat. Fighting attributes
Mastering in every major martial arts, perfecting near all sword arts through legend. His skills in using katanas over the eras gave him the neccessary skills to begin his Baki-takusan style. It has been perfected thousand times over, reaching new levels of amazing tactics.
Abilities:
~Speed step The moves of Mitsuyoshi has speed that reaches beyond average human. His feet seem to take average steps when he walks, or even runs. On average with a 16" inch stride, 3960 steps would be made. If it was based on sight, it would look like he takes each step, but tavel further and faster. The skill is not average on warriors.
~Chakra hands: The ability to use the inner chi to create invisable "hands" of determined legnth. The "Hands" are hands with 5 fingers, twice the size of Mitsuyoshi's actual hands.The hands are flat, one inch thick, and are connected by a arm protruding from his back. The "Hands" are able to lift 5 metric tons of weight, and can crush the same amount. The "Hands" are edge sharp and can stretch as wide as 30 ft. Finally, the "hands" can travel through the densest material, and can become as dense as the same material. There are no more than 6 "hands" out at once, and they can drain Mitsuyoshi dry if kept out for long.
~Ninjitsu Training and abilities: These are the abilities that Mitsuyoshi has learned throughout his travels and training.
Bakuretsu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Exploding Shadow Clone Technique) A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja creates a suicidal Kage Bunshin (shadow clone). After creating it, the ninja can cause the clone to remotely detonate and explode in combat, taking anyone immediately surrounding it out. When used in close combat, without the enemy noticing, this technique can be quite deadly.
Bakuretsufuu (Exploding Seal) A Fuuinjutsu (sealing technique) where a seal is placed upon a piece of paper, creating an effect upon the paper that causes an explosion. These seals can be made in the field, but are more commonly bought by or given to ninjas as equipment, like kunai and shuriken. These seals can be used in a variety of manners. They can be tied to kunai so that a miss can become a hit in combat. They can be attached directly to an opponent, almost completely ensuring death, unless the ninja is fast enough to disarm the seal. Or, these seals can be set up in an open area to trap the enemy, as in the case of the Shouhekifuu (Barrier Seal).
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique) This technique must be mastered by any ninja who has graduated from the Academy at the Hidden Leaf Village. It's the most basic technique a Genin must know, since it can be a real lifesaver. This ninjutsu creates a shadow clone of the caster.
Nemuri (Sleep) A Genjutsu technique where the ninja places their hand on their target's shoulder and forces them into a deep slumber. A useful technique when subterfuge is involved with a mission, but utterly useless in combat.
Nemurihane (Feather Sleep) A Genjutsu technique where the ninja targets a mass of people and puts them to sleep. Illusory feathers appear to rain upon them, and they will then fall into a deep slumber. More useful than the simple Nemuri (Sleep) Genjutsu, this technique is still useless in combat, as most superior shinobi know Genjutsu Kai (Genjutsu Release) to counter it, and as it takes quite a lot of focus to target many people.
~Baki-takusan swords: His "multi-swords" style, using multiple swords at once to defeat his foe. This is by releasing the rope tying his bundle of swords. Upon his back, 29 swords rest. Four bundles, six swords each, and five loose swords, jammed in. Each sword is connected by a nearly invisible thread of carbonadium string. On the other end, silver rings resting upon the fingers (One next to each joint equaling to three on each main finger and one on each thumb. One around each ankle) of Mitsuyoshi. The beauty of the the Baki-takusan style is strategy and patience. To know more about it, you must see it in action. Each Sleeve of the sword is magically enchanted, desguising them as a old katana. The sword is entered into the sleeve, no matter the size, and the sleeve morphs in size. Either increasing or decreasing in size, the sheath than reforms into it's original shape, changing the hilt to one of three shapes to look idenical to the otherones next to it.
"The 30 swords of Mitsuyoshi"
Each sword has a different atribute and technique. Here they are:
Sword 1: Fidelacchius or Faith (Katana) is forged with the nail jesus's crucifixion. Able to sense evil and negetive intentions towards it's owner. Able to cut through most material, and releases a holy pulse to evil incarnations. {Negetive sensory, Holy poison}
Sword 2: Forsaken, a sword that is bonded to its host till death. takes the blood of the host to increase its own strength and in turn protect its host from any danger by means of moving on its own, or by emitting a flame of hell from its tip. It is 6'2" in length (including the handle which is 1'1" long) and weighs around 50 lbs. The full extent of its power has never been known to any mortal. {Flee's from oppoenent's grip, Flame tip}
Sword 3: Hawk, Prince Gerald's enchanted sword. This relic from the Iron Wars has a built in ability which would make it thrust unerringly 100 times once the command words "Hawk Strike" are spoken. {Hawk strike}
Sword 4: The Dark Sword, Fashioned by Joram from an alloy of darkstone and iron. This crude one-piece blade, hilt, and handle has the resemblance of a dark humanoid figure forever frozen in crucifixion. It has the power to negate all magics cast upon it or its wielder. {Darkstone-Magic negation}
Sword 5: Gerbera Straight - Powerful anti-beam katana {Beam negation}
Sword 6: Valmanway from Castlevania games (though it was called Crissaegrim once), a sword which, when used, emit razorwind around itself doing multiple hits. Valmanway is also extraordinarily light, capable of very quick attack as well as giving its wielder more freedom to his movements. {Razorwind}
sword 7: Godsbane needs to consume the energy of souls to survive. "She" sucks all the blood from her victims at a alarming rate, giving her a blood-red hue. When starved for a long time, she gradually fades to white. Before she came into the grasp of Cyric, Godsbane had driven all of her previous wielders mad, forcing them to sustain her by killing victims. Eventually, the blade would be stolen by another, and the former wielder's thoughts would always be focused on recovering it. He/she would never sleep until recovering the blade or die trying. {Vampire sword }
Sword 8: Khazid'hea is a finely crafted blade that can cut through flesh, bone, armor, and even rock. The blade itself is sentient, and whenever Mitsuyoshi is either exhausted or weak of mind, Khazid’hea can project its “thoughts” into his head and even affect his reasoning. On the occasions this has happened, he has gone into battle against impossible numbers without realizing it until his enemies lay dead before him. In the process, he often gets hurt, but doesn’t notice. Khazid'hea is always hungry for blood and battle, and it is never sated. {Extra mind, owner drainer}
Sword 9: Charon's Claw The sword has a slender, razor-edged, gleaming red blade, its length inscribed with designs of cloaked figures and tall scythes, accentuated by a black blood trough running along its center, with a hilt that appeared like whitened vertebrae. Running from it toward the crosspiece, the hilt was carved to resemble a backbone and rib-cage, and the crosspiece itself resembled a pelvic skeleton, with legs spread out wide and bent back toward the head, so that the wielder's hand fit neatly within the 'bony' boundaries. All of the pommel, hilt and crosspeice was white, like bleached bones—perfectly white, except for the eye sockets of the skull pommel, which seemed like black pits at one moment and flared with red fires the next.
Anyone who touches the blade or handle of this sword unprotected must compete with it in a battle of wills. This is a highly difficult task, as the sword is immensely strong-minded. If the wielder fails in this task, his/her soul is consumed by the blade, while the skin and flesh of the skull is also burned away. This ability can be used by the bearer of the sword, but it requires prolonged contact with the enemy, several seconds (Mitsuyoshi has been seen to impale an enemy with it and let it work). Charon's Claw can be willed by its wielder to leave trails of ash in the air, creating temporary opaque walls to give an edge in battle. It can also produce a strange black glow to act as a light in the darkness which renders the wielder invisible to infravision. The sword is also enchanted so that even a small nick or cut will prove eventually fatal, as the wound will fester and eventually poison the victim.
Without defeating the blade in a battle of wills, the only way for the wielder to safely use the item is to cover his or her hand with an enchanted, black, red-stitched, magical gauntlet Called Charon's Gauntlet to protect him or her from the blade's effects. In addition, the real gauntlet can detect, absorb and redirect magical energy as well as psionics, so long as the spell's target is the wearer.
The 12 swords of power (Further details on swords at bottom of page. Each sword is coated with a seal that dulls down the abilities of the swords.) Sword 10: Coinspinner - a sword which brings luck to its wielder but may desert him at any moment. Sword 11: Doomgiver - the "sword of justice," which turns any attack back on the attacker. Sword 12: Dragonslicer - a sword which transcends dragons' resistance to normal weapons (but does not protect the wielder in any way). Sword 13: Farslayer - a sword which kills a named victim, regardless of distance, when it is thrown by its wielder... Who may, of course, become the next target. Sword 14: Woundhealer - a sword which heals diseases and injuries and cannot be used as a weapon. Sword 15: Mindsword - the "Sword of Glory" or "Skulltwister," which inspires instant and fanatic loyalty to the wielder. Sword 16: Shieldbreaker - a sword which destroys any weapon, including other Swords... but which cannot harm any creature not bearing a weapon, nor will it allow its wielder to use any other method than itself to attempt to attack another being, even if that being is unarmed. Sword 17: Sightblinder - a sword which causes its wielder to be perceived by observers as someone they either fear or trust, giving the power of disguise but not the power of stealth. Sword 18: Soulcutter - the "Tyrant's Blade," which imposes instant and unbreakable depression on anyone nearby—including the wielder. Sword 19: Stonecutter - a sword which can cut through stone. Sword 20: Townsaver - a sword which will protect the innocent from any number of attackers... But does not protect its wielder. Sword 21: Wayfinder - a sword which leads the wielder to whatever he seeks... But by the most dangerous way.
Sword 22: Mirrior blade, the replication swowd, is a invisable blade of katana width and length made by Yusagi. At the presise moment that the sword collides with another weapon, Mirror blade transforms into the exact make and style of the oppoenent's weapon. From hilt to atom to exact sharpness, even power and minerals within the blade are the same. The sword becomes the exact replica of the opposing weapon. The change is 5 minutes per clash and can be stacked. (2 hits = 10 minutes 4 hits = 20 minutes, etc...)
Sword 23: Concussion, the explosion sword, is a experiment gone wrong gone right by Yusagi. The chemical mix up of Inertron and Promethium. The core of the blade is Vibranium. Concussion is a constant explosion whenever impact is made. The impact forces the explosion to exert in the same angle the contact was made. The explosion is strong yet the kick-back is swallowed by the vibranium within.
Sword 24: Silencer is a katana made up of Virbranium (Wakandan) and Inertron. Wakandan Vibranium, often referred to as Vibranium as it's the most commonly known of the two varieties of Vibranium, is native to the small country of Wakanda. It possesses the ability to absorb all vibrations in the vicinity as well as kinetic energy directed at it. The energy absorbed is stored within the bonds between the molecules that make the substance up. As a result the more energy Vibranium absorbs the tougher it becomes. There are limits to the capacity of the energy that can be stored, however, and although the exact limitations are unknown as of now there have been a few examples. One such instance was when the oil conglomerate Roxxon discovered that a small island in the South Atlantic had a foundation composed of Vibranium. Due to this, Roxxon found it necessary to destroy the island and blew it up with bombs. Unable to absorb the force of the explosions, the Vibranium was destroyed, but it did succeed in entirely absorbing the sound made by the explosion preventing damage to the surrounding area. Another ability exhibited by this variety of Vibranium has been the ability to mutate humans, which caused the creation of the Black Panther Cult ages ago as they saw these people as demons. Its radiation has also permeated much of Wakanda's flora and fauna, including the Heart-Shaped Herb eaten by members of the Black Panther Cult and the flesh of the White Gorilla eaten by the members of the White Gorilla Cult which both give super human abilities to whoever eats them.
In short, this sword can asorb vibrations and kinetic energy,and if chosen, directed back to whomever.
Sword 25: Screamer is a Katana made up of Vibranium (Antartic) and Inertron. Better known as Anti-Metal, it is native to the artificially created Antarctic jungle known as the Savage Land. Unlike the Vibranium of Wakanda that absorbs vibrations, it produces vibrations. These vibrations produce a specific wavelength that breaks down the molecular bonds in other metals resulting in their liquification. This effect extends to the otherwise indestructible metal known as Adamantium. If huge quantities of Anti-Metal were gathered together and accumulated, the vibrations given off by the entire mass would increase logarithmically as more was added. Theoretically, if the enormous mound of Wakandan Vibranium were composed of Anti-Metal instead, the resulting vibrations would liquefy metals throughout Africa and possibly beyond. Anti-Metal is also known for being able to become an artificial and unstable form of the Wakandan variety of Vibranium through certain particle bombardments on it. Supposedly the opposite is also true, as a fraction of the sacred mound of Wakandan Vibranium was apparently converted to Antarctic Vibranium by particle bombardment.
In short, this sword can produces vibrations able to turn any metal into liquid.
Sword 26: Fang's bane is a Katana that continiously produces a fusion of extreme potient venoms, created by Usagi. This venom, Black Mercury, has three stages. The antidote "Pheonix steel" must be taken in stage one or stage 2. Stage three needs a massive amount of blood drain while taken the antidote. The antidote is also created by Usagi.
Stage 1: -Instantly- The virus contains a chemical balance that forces the body to produce adrenaline and releases it in alarming rates. At the same time, it forces the body to create 12x the amount of red blood cells in moments. This would give the victim an extra boost of strength, but the body would begin to bloat.
Stage 2: - 5 turns - The virus begins to eliminate a devestational amount of both white blood cells and brain cells. The amount of blood multiplies at 65% more of it's current rate. The body would normally go into shock and convulse from a heart attack. The virus begins to attack the nearves, creating large amounts of blood curdling pain.
Stage 3: - 10 turns - The virus forces the blood into a flesh eating viral venom, acting like acid from the inside out. The brain becomes stagnant and dies from exertion, organs either bursts or dies away and the victim passes in the most painful way.
Sword 27: Wind god, the gale sword, is a blade that forces amounts of pressured wind in a perticular direction. When swung (depending on the strength of the swing) wind flows in that very same direction at extreme rates. If sword collides into a weapon or wall, the wind will form into a wall of wind wthin that very direction.
Sword 28, 29, 30: Unknown
Other Items -Vampiric Dagger Often referred to as a "Jeweled Dagger" this weapon is studded with gems. The emerald-studded dagger is. The magical weapon possesses the ability to suck the life force of the victim and use it to heal the wielder. The more sinister portion of the blades power is its ability to feed on the victim's very soul, thus destroying the victim utterly. A common interrogation technique is to force the victim's palm open and use the dagger to make a single blood-drawing tear on it, thus starting the life-draining magic. He usually doesn't have to wait long before the victim yields and pleads for him to stop. Even very brave warriors who have faced terrible evils can be (understandably) terror-stricken if they feel the dagger leeching away at their soul. As might be expected, Mitsuyoshi is a very accurate shot if he throws the dagger, which he has done on several occasions in battle. Although the dagger possesses considerable magical powers, it does not appear to have a 'return' spell, or an enchantment that would allow it to return to its wielder, although many enchanted daggers, knives, dirks, etc. in the Realms possess this enchantment.
-Seven league boots Boots of unfathomable talents. The mistic being within these boots forces the wearer to travel to his destinations with unbelieveable timing. These boots are known to travel over leagues in mere steps.
Further Information for... 12 swords of power:
-Coinspinner Coinspinner is also called the Sword of Chance, and less frequently, the Sword of Fortune. It has a pair of dice engraved in white on its hilt. Coinspinner gives its holder good luck, and brings misfortune on anyone trying to harm or hinder its current possessor. However, the Sword of Chance is the most unpredictable of all the Swords, having the habit of leaving its owner when they need it most.
Coinspinner's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Who holds Coinspinner knows good odds Whichever move he make. But the Sword of Chance, to please the gods Slips from him like a snake.
Coinspinner seems to be endowed with a limited form of intelligence. Should one take one's eyes off of it, Coinspinner can teleport to a new destination and a new owner. The Sword is capable of generating distractions to achieve this purpose. While a person holds Coinspinner, even if it remains sheathed in a scabbard, they are blessed with supernatural good luck. If they play poker, every hand wins. If they walk a tightrope, they would not fall, and if they did fall, one can be sure that the fall would somehow not harm them, and result in a personal profit. A secondary use of the Sword is that it can function similar to Wayfinder, by pointing the user in the general direction of something they are searching for. It apparently doesn't home as strongly as Wayfinder, nor does it lead its possessor to interim goals required for successfully reaching the object of their desire. However, with the luck of Coinspinner, it is likely the user would be able to deal with any difficulty they meet with while en route. Often Coinspinner will create a rebound effect of bad luck to its former owner after it leaves. It is not uncommon for Coinspinner to leave its master for his arch rival, with disastrous results. Therefore, Coinspinner serves as a wild card, making total control of the Swords of Power an impossible proposition. Because of this unpredictability, Coinspinner has often been the target of destruction for Shieldbreaker by those who wish to control all of the Swords. Currently, the sword is sealed within the sleeve, keeping it from vanishing. The seal, however, reduces it power somewhat.
-Doomgiver Doomgiver is also called the Sword of Justice. It has a hollow circle engraved in white upon its hilt. Doomgiver is one of the least understood of all the Swords. Its verse in The Song of Swords hints at its powers, and is as follows:
The Sword of Justice balances the pans Of right and wrong, and foul and fair. Eye for an eye, Doomgiver scans The fate of all folk everywhere.
Doomgiver is poorly understood because of the ambiguity of its verse, and because Doomgiver was rarely used in canon. It was observed to turn any attack directed toward it back to the source. If an arrow is fired at the wielder of the Sword of Justice, the arrow would turn around in mid-flight and fatally strike the archer. It also in general redirects maliciousness directed toward the one who holds it. For example, the goddess Aphrodite was entranced by her own power when She tried to seduce one who held Doomgiver. The Dark King Vilkata similarly hesitated to confront the Sword when it was defending the city of Tashigang, fearing that all the evil he or his followers had ever wielded against anyone in the city would be suddenly returned against him. Doomgiver had bats eat themselves, had a demon folded painfully into its own gut. Doomgiver prevails over Soulcutter in that same book, turning its despair back at the Gods, and it is also hinted at Doomgiver's power would prove superior to the other Swords, including being able to turn Farslayer back at the one who threw it, that Sightblinder's holder would see a terrible apparition while remaining vulnerable, that the Mindsword holder should worship Doomgiver's holder, and Coinspinner's master would suffer excruciating bad luck. Shieldbreaker is immune to Doomgiver's powers.
-Dragonslicer Dragonslicer is also called the Sword of Heroes. It has a stylized dragon engraved in white on its hilt. Dragonslicer's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Dragonslicer, Dragonslicer, how d'you slay? Reaching for the heart in behind the scales. Dragonslicer, Dragonslicer, where d'you stay? In the belly of the giant that my blade impales. Dragonslicer is one of the few Swords that is wholly benevolent in nature. Dragonslicer guides its user into the right place to deliver a fatal blow to any dragon, and can cut through dragon scale (and limbs, and tails, etc) as easily as soft butter. However, care must still be taken, for Dragonslicer does not actually magically protect its wielder against a dragon's various means of attack. When not employed against dragons, it is simply a sharp, well balanced, and well crafted blade that is proof against most damage, but offers no magical advantage. Thus, it is one of the least feared of the Swords -- at least by humanity.
-Farslayer Farslayer is also called the Sword of Vengeance. It has a series of concentric circles in the form of a bullseye or target engraved upon its hilt. Farslayer's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Farslayer howls across the world For thy heart, for thy heart, who hast wronged me! Vengeance is his who casts the blade Yet he will in the end no triumph see.
Farslayer is relatively straightforward in operation. The possessor must simply swing the blade around and think of the person whom they wish to kill, then release the sword. It is customary for the wielder to chant the second line of the Swords verse, "For thy heart...", as above, while they are spinning the Blade. This appears to be unnecessary for the proper function of Farslayer. After launching, the Sword flies from the hand of its master, creating a shrieking rainbow-colored streak through the sky, terminating in the heart of the intended target. Nothing can be done to hide from Farslayer. The sword is intelligent enough to know exactly how to kill its target, including demons and gods. Farslayer will pass through any substance that is placed between it and its target. Assassinations have taken place with the target in houses, fortified castles, even in caves hundreds of feet under ground. Distance from the target is also no obstacle. Only Shieldbreaker and Woundhealer offer sure defense from the Sword of Vengeance, though some might think that Doomsbringer can provide a defense. Once Farslayer reaches its target, it remains there. Typically, the deceased is surrounded by friends with thoughts of vengeance and who are the new owners of Farslayer. This is of course a major drawback, and makes employing Farslayer a risky proposition. However, if a person were to wield both Doomgiver and Farslayer at the same time, they would be arguably invincible. Example: a person draws Doomgiver and Farslayer, send Farslayer flying into his enemy. One of the enemie's friends is boiling for revenge, so he sends Farslayer back at the original user. The origanal user, however, is wielding Doomgiver, so Farslayer will be sent hurdling towards the second user. A similar level of power might be achieved by combining Farslayer with Shieldbreaker.
-Mindsword The Mindsword is also known as the Sword of Glory, or by the pejorative Skulltwister, the Sword of Madness. It has a flying banner engraved in white on its hilt. The Mindsword's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
The Mindsword spun in the dawn's gray light And men and demons knelt down before. The Mindsword flashed in the midday bright Gods joined the dance, and the march to war. It spun in the twilight dim as well And gods and men marched off to hell.
The Mindsword is one of the more overtly evil of the Swords, as it is difficult to imagine a good cause Skulltwister would be associated with. The Mindsword, when drawn, compels absolute and fanatical devotion to the person holding it. It flashes brightly as if catching the sun, and emits the faint roar of a cheering mob, which cannot be blocked out by covering ears or averting eyes. All who are in visual or aural range are affected. Not even the gods of the Swords universe are immune to its power. The strength of the devotion is such that one under the Mindsword's power would even throw their life away if so ordered. There is no possibility of resisting or recovery, except for the passage of time. When removed from the Mindsword's presence, a person will gradually begin to lose the unnatural loyalty they felt toward the Sword's bearer and show signs of skepticism and then increasing rebelliousness before finally regaining their own mind. It takes around a week to fully recover, depending on the relationship between the target and the wielder, the wielder's own personal charisma, and the psychological resistance of the target. The Blade seems to have another, lesser property as well - wounds made from its edge fester, preventing healing and possibly leading to fever and delirium.
Other Swords provide some protection from the mind-control effect of the Mindsword, by virtue of their hold on the user's psyche. Sightblinder offers some resistance, although it still takes a great deal of willpower from the affected wielder and allows them only enough presence of mind to escape. Soulcutter will trump the Mindsword's power, but in this case the cure can be worse than the disease. Shieldbreaker offers absolute immunity when employed. The Sword of Wisdom, WayFinder, also confers immunity, due to its supernatural insight. Although this was never demonstrated in the books, some characters speculated that Doomgiver might also provide protection against the Mindsword. Woundhealer successfully healed the poisoned wound from the Sword of Glory. The Mindsword is one of the few Swords that is always "on" whether or not it is held by someone. At one point, the Sword was left unsheathed on an icy mountain. Locals worshipped the mountain itself as a god, apparently under the effect of the Sword. Sheathing the Sword (or otherwise concealing its blade) will prevent the blade from functioning, though mind control once established will remain in effect. The "Sword of Glory" is one of the most sought after of all the Twelve. Tyrants want it to dominate others, and good men want it locked up where it can do no harm, or destroyed if possible.
-Shieldbreaker Shieldbreaker is also called the Sword of Force, and occasionally 'the Widowmaker'. It has a hammer engraved in white on its hilt. It is arguably the most powerful of all Swords. When drawn, it offers absolute protection against all armed enemy attacks, including mêlée, ranged, and magical. It interprets demonic or assault with natural weapons such as the teeth, claws, and beaks of predators as an armed attack. When any weapon is brought to bear against Shieldbreaker, it emits a rhythmic throbbing or hammering sound, that steadily increases in volume and speed as it is used in combat. When Shieldbreaker comes into contact with a weapon, that weapon is destroyed, shattering into many fragments with explosive force. Usually, this severely hurts or even kills the opponent who was wielding that weapon. Hostile incoming magic is automatically negated, but this effect is harmless to the caster. Once it is drawn in combat, Shieldbreaker will not allow the user to let go of it until combat is over. The sword actually takes control over its wielder's sword arm, automatically blocking all incoming attacks and striking back in return, imparting superhuman speed and strength as required.
Its verse in The Song of Swords is as follows:
I shatter Swords and splinter spears; None stands to Shieldbreaker. My point's the fount of orphan's tears My edge the widowmaker.
While Shieldbreaker is unbeatable in armed combat, it does have a weakness, as hinted at by the verse. Literally, none (read no weapon) stands to Shieldbreaker. The Sword of Force is useless against unarmed foes, passing harmlessly through them. Meanwhile, the wielder of Shieldbreaker has greatly diminished strength while the Sword is functioning. Even a god could be out-wrestled by a determined and unarmed foe. Since this weakness was discovered, many showdowns involving Shieldbreaker end up in elaborate games of chicken involving dropping, picking up and repeated feints with the Sword and conventional arms. Counters have been developed, including using a conventional sword to dispatch unarmed opponents while holding Shieldbreaker with one's off arm, though this requires some skill in swordplay and one must account for the personal strength the Sword saps. Shieldbreaker is also a popular choice for dual Sword wielding if the wielder can withstand the strain, since any other Sword will greatly offset Shieldbreaker's weakness, with the exception of Woundhealer, and Shieldbreaker will offset some of the weaknesses of other Swords. Perhaps the strongest value of dual-wielding with Shieldbreaker is that most of the other Swords' principle weakness is that they can be defeated by Shieldbreaker. Shieldbreaker can destroy other Swords as easily as conventional ones, even Swords whose own power would seem to counteract the 'Widowmaker'.
-Sightblinder Sightblinder is also called the Sword of Stealth, and less commonly, the Sword of Deception. It bears a stylized human eye engraved in white upon its hilt. Sightblinder's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
The Sword of Stealth is given to One lonely and despised. Sightblinder's gifts: his eyes are keen His nature is disguised.
Sightblinder's powers are twofold. First, it alters the appearance of its possessor. This is not via a traditional cloaking device or holographic projection, but it alters how outside agents perceive the person carrying the Sword of Stealth. When a person looks at someone holding Sightblinder, they either believe they are looking at someone they love and trust implicitly, or someone they fear. The illusion is complete, regardless of how perceptive or skilled in magic the target may be. One may see Sightblinder as a parent, sibling, lover, god, or leader. The effect is so convincing that the target has trouble doubting the identity of the person they are looking at, even if it is changing from moment to moment. Sightblinder will disguise its bearer's voice if required. Sightblinder disguises itself as well, appearing as a cane, a scepter, another Sword, or even as nothing at all, depending on what would enhance the illusion. The consistency of the illusion varies. In some situations involving multiple targets, every person will see something different. Other times, all present see the same thing. The illusion may switch from a person one fears to a person one loves and back again over the space of a single encounter (as when a dragon flew off, impaled with the blade), or it may remain the same over a long period of time. In practice, the effect is similar to the Mindsword in that the target will obey the wielder. Unlike the Mindsword, the subject will not totally disregard their base inhibitions and are unlikely to throw their life away for the illusion, unless that is what they are naturally inclined to do. A drawback to use of the Sword is that it makes sneaking around impossible. When one appears as a fearsome god, demon, or an intimate relation, they do not easily escape notice. Indeed, the Sword is best used boldly. A secondary effect of Sightblinder is that it enhances the perceptions of the person carrying it. Their eyesight and hearing are supernaturally keen. It also allows its bearer to see through other illusionary magic and effects, no matter what the origin or strength. It offers some protection from the Mindsword by allowing its user to see the true nature of the other Sword's possessor. Sightblinder's bearer intuitively can tell when a person is being honest or deceitful. As powerful as Sightblinder's illusions are, it cannot fool the one who carries Shieldbreaker. Farslayer is not fooled by the illusion. Some characters in the series speculated that Doomgiver would be able to reverse the effects of Sightblinder onto its own wielder.
-Soulcutter Soulcutter is also called the Sword of Despair, or the Tyrant's Blade. Unlike the other Twelve Swords, the Soulcutter's blade is a dull color lacking all luster that actually seems to draw light into itself, creating a pocket of localized gloom when drawn. It is also unique in that it bears no symbol or other marking on its black hilt. Soulcutter's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
The Tyrant's Blade no blood hath spilled But doth the spirit carve Soulcutter hath no body killed But many left to starve.
When drawn, the Tyrant's Blade projects a field of total apathy that spreads to cover a fair-sized battlefield. Any creature caught within Soulcutter's sphere of influence immediately loses all interest in life and slumps to the ground in a state of profound depression. They are incapable of movement and take no notice of hunger, thirst, or exposure to elements. They will eventually die of deprivation if the Sword of Despair is not sheathed. The critical drawback is that not even Soulcutter's wielder is spared this effect. In fact, once they draw the weapon, they cannot find the motivation to sheathe the Sword, making the choice to use the Sword of Despair the last one they make. If by some extreme intervention, like a person bearing Shieldbreaker entering the scene and covering the cursed Blade, Soulcutter's possessor will have aged at an extremely advanced rate, and still suffer severe long-term depression. Woundhealer can dispel most of the lingering mental effects, and some (but not all) of the physical deterioration. Because of the horrific effects of the Sword, and the personal cost to the one employing it, Soulcutter is rarely drawn. Instead, it is used as a threat, where the mere knowledge that one possesses the Tyrant's Blade deters attack. Most actual uses have been out of extreme desperation or as an act of last defense. Soulcutter has also been drawn to counteract the Mindsword's influence, and it should be noted that Soulcutter "prevailed" in the sense that while the fanaticism of the Mindsword's wielder and his followers were somewhat shielded from the worst of Soulcutter's effects, eventually even they were defeated by despair. Shieldbreaker and Soulcutter together would render a person for all intents and purposes invincible. Indeed, this very scenario occurs at the climax of the series, and is defeated only by the ability of Woundhealer to "heal" Soulcutter's damage immediately.
-Stonecutter Stonecutter is also called the Sword of Siege. It has a wedge driving into a block engraved in white on its hilt. Stonecutter's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
The Sword of Siege struck a hammer's blow With a crash, and a smash, and a tumbled wall. Stonecutter laid a castle low With a groan, and a roar, and a tower's fall.
Stonecutter's use, like Dragonslicer, is highly specialized. It carves any stone of whatever thickness or density as easily as soft butter. When it is being used to this end, it emits a distinct hammering sound (like the sound of a chisel chipping away stone), which is louder or softer depending on the scale of its use. As its verse suggests, Stonecutter can be used to topple castle walls, but it can and has been used by artists to sculpt fine art (or even to cut fine gemstones). Like all of its fellow Swords, the Sword of Siege makes an excellent conventional blade in addition to its magical properties. It also appears to be the only sword that does not have a major drawback or any known weaknesses
-Townsaver Townsaver is also called the Sword of Fury. It has a sword raised above a stylized segment of castle wall engraved in white on its hilt. Townsaver's power is defending unarmed people in a fixed position. When its wielder draws it for this purpose, the blade emits a screaming sound and takes over control from the user, moving his arms with superhuman speed and power to defeat any attackers. It is not an overstatement to say that Townsaver can singlehandedly defeat an entire army. Townsaver's verse in The Song of Swords hints at its power and peril, and is as follows:
Long roads the Sword of Fury makes Hard walls it builds around the soft The fighter who Townsaver takes Can bid farewell to home and croft
Unfortunately, unlike many of its fellow Swords, such as Shieldbreaker, it does nothing to protect the actual wielder. In fact, it will use the wielder's body to deflect and absorb ranged attacks and other blows, if it is practical to do so and if the action will result in the protection of the people it is trying to defend. Townsaver will keep its wielder alive until the battle is over. If the user has sustained serious wounds during the battle, they can and often do die. In addition, Townsaver will not allow its user to drop or relinquish its power once the battle has been engaged. The user is totally committed once Townsaver is drawn. It will take no action to defend the user if he stands alone. Of course, countermeasures have been developed to offset Townsaver's weaknesses somewhat. Giving the user strong armor is one that has been used with success. Since it is not the user's speed and power driving the weapon, it is possible to burden the wielder with heavy armor that would ordinarily be a fatal encumbrance. The Song of Swords also hints explicitly at the destiny for the Sword.
-Wayfinder Wayfinder is also called the Sword of Wisdom. It has an arrow engraved in white on its hilt. Wayfinder's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Who holds Wayfinder finds good roads Its master's step is brisk. The Sword of Wisdom lightens loads But adds unto their risk.
Wayfinder's chief power is guiding its bearer to whatever it is they seek. Not only will it lead one to their ultimate goal, it will also intelligently guide them to things that are required to successfully accomplish its mission. Wayfinder seems to do better and be more kind to its user when the request is broad and general, and less so the more specific the user is. Its main drawback is that while it picks routes that will eventually lead its master to success, it never picks the safest route, if one exists. It is the opinion of many of the past owners of the Sword that it actually picks the worst, most dangerous path for its user to follow. Thus the Sword does indeed "add unto their risk." Wayfinder's other weakness is that it only will lead someone to one thing at a time. Many times, the wielder will change his mind or have confused priorities that cloud the usefulness of the weapon. For example, if one were to seek great wealth, Wayfinder might lead one to a bank vault. But before doing so, it would lead one to the world's best safe cracker, and then the equipment he would need to break into the vault. If the safe cracker would need some sort of special compensation to cooperate, it would help one find that as well. When it is operating in this type of "seeker" mode, it quivers when it is being pointed in the right general direction, also subtly steering its possessor's arms as a kind of divining rod. In addition, Wayfinder can also act as the ultimate Magic 8-ball, answering questions such as, "Which of these plates of food is poisoned?" or "Which of these men is lying to me?" It is unnecessary to vocalize these questions; a mental query is sufficient. Just like when it is in seeker mode, it indicates the correct answer by quivering when its blade is pointing in the correct direction. This is the chief reason Wayfinder is also dubbed the "Sword of Wisdom".
-Woundhealer Woundhealer is also called the Sword of Mercy, and less frequently, the Sword of Love, and even more infrequently, the Sword of Healing. It bears an open human hand engraved in white on its hilt. Woundhealer's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Whose flesh the Sword of Mercy hurts has drawn no breath, Whose soul it heals has wandered in the night, Has paid the summing of all debts in death Has turned to see returning light. Woundhealer is the only Sword incapable of killing, though it can cut and hack inanimate matter as well as any of the other Swords. Instead, when living flesh is pierced with the Blade, it has a powerful healing effect. The Sword can knit broken bones, heal disease, fix genetic disorders, regenerate lost limbs, and repair mental or psychological problems (including the effects of Soulcutter.) Properly employed, it can enable its user to sustain extensive damage without dying. Its healing effect can prevent amputation of entire limbs if the Sword is in active use; the blade heals the wound before the attack can complete its path across the limb, and before the wound can start to bleed. The sensation of Woundhealer cutting or piercing an individual is described as a sort of exquisite pain. When in action, Woundhealer emits a sound similar to a human sigh. Woundhealer works on any living thing, human or animal. It is not known to restore the dead to life. Woundhealer does not project a healing aura. The blade must come into contact and break the skin of the person being healed. Woundhealer can be self administered. The time of effect depends on the severity of injury or sickness, and proximity of the Blade to the problem area. While Woundhealer can eventually repair a broken leg by being stuck into the patient's heart, the healing is instantaneous when it is sliced through the affected limb. At one point, Mitsuyoshi plunged the Blade into his chest, jumped off a high cliff, and survived the fall, though it did not spare him from the pain and shock of the experience, it did heal him of the psychological trauma afterwards. It took Woundhealer several weeks, but it completely regenerated the lost arm of Mitsuyoshi after a single application. Woundhealer is the only Sword that has survived an encounter with Shieldbreaker, although the circumstances were unusual.
Yusagi "Nanatsu" Tennousaki
A Being totally cloaked from head to toe. He bares a sword on his back, and glowing eyes. His cloak is made from shadow and can form into an unstoppable armor. His sword is named after him, made from many materials. "Yusagi" is a blacksmith master, and a poison/medicine god. He lives within mitsuyoshi's shadow, offering protection when needed.
Abilities:
-Time Compression:
The ability to take objects and people and create a rift within space, disecting reality and sending things to the seventh plane. The seventh plane is a reality where time does not exist, and humans and human-like individuals (vamp. angel. elf. etc...) canot travel. The only creatures who travel in this plane are djinn, ifrits, imps, sendings, and certain beast. The power of time compression rips a whole starting in the seventh plane, and cuts it way through the sixth, fifth, fourth, all the way to the first. Like opening a shuttle in space, time is sucked through the hole, taking the object to the seventh plane. The power also can cut into angles, thus creating a path. This path can loop into the seventh plane, and out to another location.
-Space Compression:
The ability to change the attributes of space. This includes: -Gravity bound: the ability to force space around a target, constricting and expanding 40x the speed of light, creating a massive jump in magnetive force. This results in gravity increasing any where from 2x to 640,000x normal gravity.
-Vector Trap: The Vector Trap compresses and folds space in on itself to create a pocket-dimention in which objects or the user can enter. Anything that is placed into a Vector Trap is effectively reduced to zero volume by the reference of objects outside the Vector Trap, but , under normal conditions, mass is still a consideration. Though the volume of objects that a Vector Trap can accomodate seems virtually limitless, taking a whole galaxy if needed be, the mass is a limiting factor; thus any object enerating a Vector Trap will still be "weighed down" by any objects that its Vector Trap contains. The vector trap, however, is kept in the seventh plane, and has no weight there, hence no weight on the first plane. At the end, the compressed space opens with severe pressure, releasing the load at a extream speed. The speed can reach nearly 280,000 kilometers per second, almost the speed of light. At speed like this, a ball of chinchilla fur can shatter a titanium tank. Entering the vector trap is just as fast. The user who enters could not survive, but do to the a shield of space that coats the user, the speed will not kill him. (This is also for objects, and the releasing of person/persons/object/objects can can be released out of the trap at a ajustable pace, even if stepping out is what is wanted)
Kinesis and powers
-Time / Space compression. -Audiokinesis is the ability to mentally control sound pitches and waves. -Empathy is the ability to sense anothers emotions. -Photokinesis, also known as Lumokinesis, is the ability to mentally manipulate or generate photons, to create beams of intense light. -Psychokinesis (a Stronger form of telekinesis) is used to describe the power to move matter with the mind. This is the most commonly seen psychic power in fiction, displayed in both magical and science-fictional contexts. -Pyrokinesis is the ability to manipulate fires, or in some definitions cause objects to ignite. -Precognition is the ability to see future events -Remote viewing is the ability to see anything without the use of physical eyes -Umbrakinesis is the ability to manipulate light, resulting in utter darkness. -ESP -Cloning -Shadow warping is the ability to manuver shadows to his will, and make them into objects if chosen to. -Dematerialization / Materialization -Mind Locke is the ability to place someones mind into a form of brain death for a short amount of time. The brain functions well for the body, but all memory, ideas, movements and the such are put on a supension for a time. The time limit, for a very mentally strong person is 30 minutes...
Jutsu arts
Chi Bomb: The chi turns into the shape, image, feel and explosion of a black round fused bomb.
Shadow chains Chains made of steel from the armor of a demon. Fused with the blood of the ancient ninjas. Refused with inertron steel, and blood of angels. The chains are (much like gaara's sand) controled by the lives that inhabit it. They course though the earth, linked into the mind of Uriel himself. What they see, he sees, and vice versa. There are 7,000 chains that swim and borough through the ground at all times. They can be controled by Uriel as well.
Venom of energy Jutsu.
This jitsu takes the charka of the user, and intertwinds it within the chakra of the target. One must be hit with it. The chakra pours out in a amount of the users will, and enters the chambers. At will, this chakra can break through the gates and unleash a full flow. Any existing chakra wihin the target becomes infected, turning it into the same as the user's chi. This means, after the technique is used, depending on the amount of chi used, the targets chi will become fully under the user's control. (Must know Energy control)
Energy control.
The controller can control 100% of their chakra, within and outside of the body.
Forbidden Jutsu: Mind flood.
This Jitsu forces a large amount of chakra within the target, and intertwinds with the existing chi. Then, as all chi intermingles, the chi shoots up to the brain at a alarming pace. Within the brain cavity, the chi releases a high amount of pressure, and explodes the brain from within. A high amount of Chi is required, but less then half is needed if the Venom enerjy jitsu is used.
Forbidden Jutsu: Soul steal.
This jitsu is as it sounds: the soul is stolen. The chi of the user entangles the soul by fusing with it. The memory of one, including the powers, abilities, amd chi, even kekkai genkai is removed from the body and is turned into energy, powers, abilities and chi of the user. This can give him the same abilities, even the kekkai genkai of the target. Some can survive this jitsu, but will be stipped of their power for a certain time, for the soul can never fully leave the body untill death. The abilities are permenant to the user.
Shadow swim. (Kekkai Gekkai) The ability to step within the shadow of any proportion (as long as his body can fit.) and move around. The shadow to him is only a large gap for him to step into. If the shadow were to dissapear, or move, Uriel would be sent to the nearest shadow of his choice, litteraly teleporting. To him, it is nothing but a cavern, and even a shadow itself cannot enter.
Jitsu abilities not created (Actual abilities used)
-Bakuretsu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Exploding Shadow Clone Technique) First Performed by: Uchiha Itachi Type of Technique: NinJutsu Chapter: 142
A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja creates a suicidal Kage Bunshin (shadow clone). After creating it, the ninja can cause the clone to remotely detonate and explode in combat, taking anyone immediately surrounding it out. When used in close combat, without the enemy noticing, this technique can be quite deadly.
-Bakuretsufuu (Exploding Seal) First Performed by: Oboro Type of Technique: FuuinJutsu Chapter: 46
A Fuuinjutsu (sealing technique) where a seal is placed upon a piece of paper, creating an effect upon the paper that causes an explosion.
Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique) First Performed by: Uzumaki Naruto Type of Technique: NinJutsu Chapter: 1
This technique must be mastered by any ninja who has graduated from the Academy at the Hidden Leaf Village. It's the most basic technique a Genin must know, since it can be a real lifesaver. This ninjutsu creates a shadow clone of the caster, but it can only serve as a decoy. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, Bunshin no Jutsu created clones can't attack, since they don't have physical mass.
As a result, if they are touched by the attacker they just disappear. Although this technique may seem useless, if used correctly it can create an almost flawless imitation of the ninja, while the real person hides in the environment waiting for a chance to strike.
Chakra Enjintou (Chakra Scalpel) First Performed by: Kabuto Type of Technique: NinJutsu Chapter: 164
A Ninjutsu technique used, primarily for field surgery. The ninja concentrates a powerful aura of chakra around their hand, creating a blade capable of tearing through muscles and arteries, or breaking bone, without actually breaking the skin of the person they're using it on. When used offensively, in combat, it is difficult to concentrate on the length and power of the scalpel, making it harder to successfully hit an enemy's arteries, ensuring a kill.
Chuusuusei Biribiri (Central Nervous System Electrical Shock) First Performed by: Tsunade Type of Technique: NinJutsu Chapter: 164
A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja turns their chakra into an electrical pulse which is transmitted into an enemy's body by striking the base of their neck. The electrical impulse travels up their brain stem and disrupts the flow of electricity in the nervous system. The brain cannot work like this, thus all communication between the brain and body are confused, causing a person to move their arm when they should be moving their leg, and generally debilitating them. Only an unusually skilled ninja would be able to overcome such a handicap.
Gaia Fuuin (Gaia Seal) First Performed by: Kimimaro Type of Technique: FuuinJutsu Chapter: 199
Similar to the Tenfuuin (Heaven Seal), this Fuuinjutsu (sealing jutsu), placed upon the chest, gives the ninja increased power. The full extent of its powers have not yet been seen, but may include physical self-manipulation, allowing the ninja to turn their body itself into a deadly weapon.
Shikakyu no Jutsu (Quadruped Technique) First Performed by: Inuzuka Kiba Type of Technique: NinJutsu Chapter: 75
A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja takes on the physical characteristics of a beast, such as longer claw-like fingernails and fang-like canine teeth. Their senses of smell and hearing increase, and their strength and speed become augmented. This technique is exclusive to the Inuzuka clan.
Satsugaite no Jutsu (Killing Hands Technique) First Performed by: Tsunade Type of Technique: NinJutsu Chapter: 163
A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja focuses chakra into the palms of their hands, creating a small ball of killing chakra, which is the complete opposite of the Chiyute no Jutsu (Healing Hands Technique). Through concentrating their chakra in a manner opposing the Chiyute, instead of rebuilding and restoring another person's cells, this jutsu intends to destroy and unravel another person's cells.
Nemuri (Sleep) First Performed by: Yakushi Kabuto Type of Technique: GenJutsu Chapter: 113
A Genjutsu technique where the ninja places their hand on their target's shoulder and forces them into a deep slumber. A useful technique when subterfuge is involved with a mission, but utterly useless in combat.
Nemurihane (Feather Sleep) First Performed by: Yakushi Kabuto Type of Technique: GenJutsu Chapter: 114
A Genjutsu technique where the ninja targets a mass of people and puts them to sleep. Illusory feathers appear to rain upon them, and they will then fall into a deep slumber. More useful than the simple Nemuri (Sleep) Genjutsu, this technique is still useless in combat.
