Well, my summer's going out with a bang.
The anime convention, AOD, was great. There was so much stuff to do, it was like...whoa.
I brought $84, and out of that I have $15 left.
How did I manage to spend that much? I got a giant pocky stick (plushie), a Coco Kitty, a Gaia Emoticon plushie (i'm serious, it was eek ), an Inuyasha wall scroll, some real pocky, food, and a present for my friend.
They had a whole room filled with little stalls, and some of the merchants were just making up prices out of their heads. XD (My friend's little brother got a sword. A real one. For $25. It was a nice sword too.)
There was a video room, where they were showing some anime shows (mostly Vampire Princess Miyu, I believe. I watched some, it was pretty good. Even if I didn't understand most of it.)
There was also a gaming room where you could go and play video games. There was DDR, some Wii games, you know.
In a little room off to the side kinda, they were showing AMVs.
Downstairs there was a café, we went there for lunch. I wasn't too hungry so I just got an Italian soda. (Blackberry.)
The main part was hanging out in the lobby. (Mezzanine...? whatever it was.) There were so many cosplayers! My favorite would have to be the Kiki who showed up (from Kiki's Delivery Service).
There were about 3 groups of Akatsuki's, a Sailor Moon and a Mini Moon, 5 Sakuras, 3-4 Narutos, 2 Sasukes, 2 Orochimarus, an Edward Elric, those two guys from FFVII Advent Children (their names escape me), even an Obi Wan Kanobi (spelling? XD).
Master Kanobi, of course, brought light sabers and that started little sparring matches.
Then there was the main hall. They had a bunch of events there. Trivia, Create that Anime, and the Masquerade.
If you don't know what a Masquerade is, you're hopeless. It's basically a costume contest/talent show thing.
Well, that's about it.
