I am a poetic mind
I wonder how little we know
I hear but not with my ears
I see the past as I head for the future
I want to make a difference.
I am a creative expression.
I pretend to know what I am doing, but really I know nothing.
I feel confident in the path I walk.
I touch the lives around me as they touch mine.
I worry for the people who are close to me.
I cry for those lost behind.
I am freedom.
I understand very much, and yet I have so much to learn.
I say the truth.
I dream of what was before us and what is ahead.
I try to hold on, to things meant to be forgotten.
I hope our memories never fade.
I am forever me.
And someday, the sands of time will hold my footprints too.
