Velvet dark shrouds his mind,
Slipping in and out of his soul.
Rage and remorse that really bind,
This state is taking its toll.
Feathery wings gliding over the stars,
In the silent comfort of the night.
Body free, but mind behind bars,
Yet his amber eyes peer in sharp, intelegent sight.
Staring, but not seeing the ground below,
He releases all thought and plunges, softly sighing.
With no direction but down to go.
The gray, somber clouds begin crying,
Drenching his fall in searing tears.
Plunged into nothingness, he's at peace with the dark,
Finally releasing the burden of his fears.
And all thats left is a single feather, showing his worldly mark.
Slipping in and out of his soul.
Rage and remorse that really bind,
This state is taking its toll.
Feathery wings gliding over the stars,
In the silent comfort of the night.
Body free, but mind behind bars,
Yet his amber eyes peer in sharp, intelegent sight.
Staring, but not seeing the ground below,
He releases all thought and plunges, softly sighing.
With no direction but down to go.
The gray, somber clouds begin crying,
Drenching his fall in searing tears.
Plunged into nothingness, he's at peace with the dark,
Finally releasing the burden of his fears.
And all thats left is a single feather, showing his worldly mark.
