Cluster: The Roaming isles

Description:
The roaming isles are currently a two island cluster that roam Azuyan’s various seas. Obsidian dagger is the main island and it’s partner Moloch island revolves around it as they drift. They are an independent cluster with no alliance to Korr or the lady though various residents do support one or the other in a secondary manner. All manner of species inhabit these two islands



Obsidian dagger is named such for it’s shape and the black moss that covers it’s edges. The ponies and people who live there are lead by fairy pony lord Ethurus. A competent fighter from strong training and tutoring as a foal has left Ethurus wise and powerful enough to command the citizens respect.

Winged dancer a young phoenix pony is the lady to be (though she will have no relationship with Ethurus.) With the lord’s best friend and the strongest female Sabrith gone off to fight and find herself Winded Dancer was as many agreed the best candidate for lady. She’d been brought to the island young and reared by it’s community, she held no one in higher regards than anyone and showed great promise. Already at her young age she has overpowered lord Etherus on many an occasion.

The main town of Temima is located at the dagger’s tip on the island. It is placed on the islands highest land and is a bustling place. It contains a large economics area at the center of town followed by important buildings a block back and then housing untill town limits end. Most things of importance happen in Temima.

The rest of the island is mainly land sectioned off to belong to the various families that inhabit the island but down wish to live within town. Some land is used for agricultural means , some for training and others simply to live on.

Moloch island is Obsidian daggers fist “gate” it is home to the strongest of the cluster's ponies and is the location of the cluster’s Obsidian guard a group of highly trained ponies that defend the pair of islands. It revolves around OD island and is the first line of defense. ( to be expanded upon)

Obsidian guard: The ponies of the roaming isles that defend the cluster. They are a small militia and willing to fight to the death for their beliefs. Like most of their clusters inhabitants they are not concerned with the lady or Korr they have their own agenda which is to provide and care for their own first and foremost. They will defy any force that attempts to subdue them.

History:

Obsidian dagger island was once a place where only the most independent ponies from the purist bloodlines came to live. Over time the values of it’s inhabitants changes and they began to change their world. They cast off the values given to them by their parents and the tribes they has originally come from.

the descendants of the original inhabitants created a new tribe of their own cutting ties with the past, they adopted a voted upon system of rules to be governed by and a set of beliefs to follow the most important of which was “ we protect our own above all else.”

Humans and other beings eventually made their way to the drifting island and once again obsidian dagger island changed, while most beliefs and traditions remained some were restructured or added to accommodate the newest additions to their community. It took time but eventually all the newcomers were welcomed and accepted as equals.

As a single drifting island obsidian dagger was susceptible to pirate attack and thus the obsidian guard was formed. it’s founders and leader are the Pegasus blue comet and shell pony cobalt wave. Betwixt the two land air and sea could be monitored and defended. The guard was both voluntary and mandatory, all ponies of the island were required to serve the guard at least one month a year some were full time officers and others did their time then returned to their lives. Currently the guard now has enough full time members to no longer require mandatory tours of duty though many still offer.

Part of this is due to the fact that not too long ago Moloch island joined obsidian dagger and they became the roaming isles. The island was near barren when it joined up with only humans living there unable to tell why there were apparently no ponies inhabiting it.
Moloch became home to the obsidian guard revolved around obsidian dagger acting as a defensive gate. One could land directly on Obsidian blade anyone approaching would be redirected to Moloch first for screening.

Currently the two island are drifting somewhat aimlessly searching for more islands to act as gates and new ponies to bring into their community. A male fairy pony named Ethurus is the current lord of the lands and he is soon to be joined by a young phoenix prodigy named winged dancer.
