Job interview today was very good. They said I was a strong candidate for the position, and I had a good shot at it. Unfortunately one of the tests they gave me really threw me (what's the highest civil court in Texas? huh?), but I don't think it'll be too bad. Not putting all my condoms in one wallet, though. Still trying for other things, just in case.
Joined a spaceship-based RP in Barton today. Looks like fun except that one guy, probably not a day over 15 and thinks he's a ninja, decided that he was going to be a "Weapons Expert" as if a ship exploring an alien galaxy needs to do something with a katana. I was going to be a tactical officer, but I changed my mind to doctor so he could have his goofy "master of all military tactics" position (is that an official rank in the navy?). I like backbone positions better anyway. I'm not really bitter, just annoyed, since this kid's probably going to try to dominate the game with histrionic "and then I do this amazing secret martial arts move that kills a thousand Martians at once" style power gaming. He smells like it. That and cheeseburgers. If we have a good GM, things should be fine, though.
