To say "I am your friend":
Watashi wa anata no tomodachi desu.
I your friend is
1. To form a sentence, say the sentence as you would in English.
2. Re-arrange the words;
a. the verb (as in the sentence above) always goes at the end of the sentence
b. the subject (or subjects) go in the very beginning of the sentence
c. the noun goes after the subject and before the verb
d. watashi wa means "I", and watashi no means "my" (actually, it literally means "of me", as in "watashi no tomodachi", it means "the friend of me" wink The two-letter word that immediatly follows some words can make it possesive, or even change the part of speach.

A lot of people have been asking me to teach them Japanese, so I got lazy and just wrote it down here. I'll update it whenever I remember, or think of anything else to say (in other words, not very often).
