The Greatest Video In the World
It was inevitable! D:

Fatal Frame II: Greatest Video In the World

Fatal Frame II music video made with the song Tribute, by Tenacious D.... Jack Black is doing the vocals... xD Technically. I spent.... like.... three or four days working on this video! DDDDxxxxx G'lords, but I am very meticulous about editing music videos... yup, all two of the ones I've done, so far. _xD

When the timing is off, sometimes even by one second, it bugs the hell out of meeee. D': So everything has to be precise....

So I decided not to watch any Fatal Frame II music videos until after I finished mine. Eventually I did watch a few on YouTube to see what kind of fellow editors I was working beside, in the feild...

Seems nearly everyone has a habit of just picking a random song and matching it with a full cinema cutscene at a time. I start seeing the same cinema sequences over and over and over, just pared with different music. It becomes too predicable and that makes it very boring. @__@;;

SO, I mixed up the scenes that I had. Some of them I put in a reverse order, most of them I've chopped into smaller sections and scattered throughout the project. So nothing is too predictable. In fact, there are even a few surprises in it. xxxDDD That no one can expect. Especially at the end. sweatdrop

I am proud of this video. x___x; I know because I've watched it like twenty times already. BUT that's also because the song, Tribute is just frikking AWESOME in itself. xD It really gets into a jam at the end. Really pumps you up while you're listening to it. I tried to do the song its justice. There's humor in there (very corny humor) but also some very cool parts.

My most favorite parts of the video, are the ones I had imagined in my head first, when I started listening to the song. One was the "ROCK -- OOOON!" part, where I have Itsuki and Sae, there. I LOOOVE that part because it comes in so strongly and the timing is... well, not perfect, but I love it anyway. It really looks like Sae is the one doing the singing. xD That was the first part of the song I'd planned in my head.

Second favorite part is when Mio is running across the bridge. Simpley because part of the reason I did the video was just to get those parts done and I REALLY wanted to use the bridge scene with that part of the song. ^ ^;

Third favorite part is where it starts "Look into my eyes--" and ends at "Grass doth groooow." Because I had that sequence stuck in my head for a long time, too. First time I discovered how to merdge clips together, also, although it doesn't show up that well, this time.

I tried linking images together in some parts, too. At first I was just basing this video on Mio, Mayu, Sae and even Itsuki. (The whole beginning was more or less an accident, which is how I tend to start my music videos, it seems. xD Just drop a clip in there. If it matches nicely with the song intro, go with it.) So thus, Itsuki had to have a part in the beginning. :3 Went crazy trying to get the beginning to work right. But that was totally a success. ^____^; Ah, when things work.

ALSO, the cool thing about the video is that I slipped in a few extra stuff. Like, some self-made Sims2 clips where I dressed up three of my Sims as Mio, Mayu and even Sae and had them dancing and playing a piano. So those clips sneak in there to add a little extra and fresher flavor to the video. To keep it more with the video, I added a grain filter and some odd.... effect that turns the shots golden. o_O; But I totally put together the forest that the Sim girls were dancing in... That took quite a while and was a bit sloppy, but inspiration sometimes causes me to let a few loose ends slip, occasionally. <__> ; Still, the floating candles were just cool!

Parts I dislike about the video. D: Because there always are some...

Well the part where it says, "This is just a tribuuuuute!" I just have one single red butterfly floating to the top of the screen. Dx It's so plain compared to the rest of the video. I would have added more to that part, but by then, Windows Movie Maker kept crapping out on me so much that when I saved the thing, I had to just hope everything sync'd up as best it could. x__x; I totally abused the Movie Maker. _xD I had to End Program it like five million times a day while making this video (since I had it jumping to so many different clips. Some I made faster while others I made slower and that just aggrivated the program.) Also, there are some funny parts of the video that are just a bit off to me. D': I haaate that, because one little mistake like that can mess up the whole joke. Instead of, "OHMYGOD that was so funny!" you get, "Ooooh I see what you were trying to do. xD Nice job."

See? Dx BIIIIG difference! Just by mere SECONDS! Oie...

Now, about halfway through the video, my sister Kaichii started giving me advising tips for some of the production. She suggested that for the "And the beast was done" part, that the screen stay completely black. x___x; I.... really would have perfered to have SOMETHING there. But I couldn't think of any clips for Sae that would make her look defeated without looking sad, too. (Didn't want to remind people about some of the sadder points of the clips I was using). So in the end, I decided some words could fit the bill. *shrugs* Don't know if that was an okay choice or not. <___> ;;;

Speaking of words in the video, I really liked the "Dramatization." XXXDDDDD Well, that just clears up the whole, "why the hell are they Sims? Dx" thing. xD Yay creative problem solving!

Seriously... I like sat down and wrote a list of lyric parts in the song in order to try and ponder over which clips would be best to pare up with which lyrics. x___x; I listened to the song over and over and over.

Dunno really when I decided to have cameos for all the other ghosts in the game, but I liked the idea and it could take up the rest of the video without much more stress. xD

Unfortunately, Chitose was left out. Dx The ONLY clip of her is where you see her face in the closet. And that clip was so dull that you can barely see what's there, let alone being able to tell that it's Chitose. I could have tried digging up some ingame footage of her, but.... it just didn't happen, in the end. Don't get me wrong, because Chitose is so purdy and I LOVE her Kimono. _xD She just didn't... show up.... Neither did Ryoko, anyways. xp

Ohyeah, and I did use a clip of Yae as a substitute for Sae one time. xDDDD Hey, it worked for Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. :B

Couldn't think of a single clip that would make Sae look stunned, anyway. oO;

Soo... OHYEAH, other favorite funny parts happened right where the song is going, "Just a matter of opinion.... aaaaw F--K!"

I HAD to put that scene where Mayu turns into Sae as she's coming towards Mio. xD Because you KNOW that's what anyone would be thinking during a part like that. *hahahahahaha!* Then right after it, is Falling Woman for, "GOOD GOD!" I mean these are just the EXACT phrases you'd use for BOTH those situations. xD And plus, she got to make a cameo that way. xD That's probably what caused me to decide to have the rest of the ghosts smuggle their way into the video.

So that pretty much brings me to the end part where the doors shut on Mio. D< That clip was IMPOSSIBLE to find! Really. It was NOWHERE. I ended up having to download a ten minute long video of a person actually PLAYING the game.... and they just had all the cutscenes record as well. But then the clip that I actually wanted, Mayu going through the doors to that long bridge for the first time, didn't happen till the very END of that ten minute video. @__@ And that sequence is only like... A MINUTE LONG! I cropped that thing down in the Movie Maker.... so I feels accomplished in my ability to preserve that clip. I's very glad I could grab it. sweatdrop

So I think that's all I can say about this video. I spent a LOT of time on it, trying to make it work and to keep it from being too boring. Now, the only problem is my getting people to see it. I don't know why, but when I watch the video and then the related files come up, they're all only for Tenacious D.... nothing on Fatal Frame. x__x; Makes it seem horribly out of place ;;;; I don't know how to fix that... Maybe it depends on how you find the video, though... I can't quite understand how the Tags on YouTube work. No commas to seperate the phrases? >__O; Doesn't make sense...

Anywhoo, so there it all is. Now, I need to get back to making comics again. @_@ I've taken a whole month off and I'm pretty sure everyone at Drunkduck thinks I'm dead now, if they even remember that I was ever there to begin with. *lawl*

Mm'kay, over n' out....

P.S.... still haven't figured out how to style hair for Sims2 meshes.... Lil' Mal is STILL not in our Sims2.... thing. >_O;
