The Nature of Death

He died. I didn’t know him.
He died, I didn’t even care.
He died, I couldn’t even cry.
He died, but I didn’t mourn.
He died; I felt no feelings for him.
He died and left this world.
He died, and he’s never coming back.
He died, but I can’t shed a single tear.
He died, he was my brother.
He died; his body no longer moving.
He died, never to return, leaving this world forever.
And that’s when I realized it.
Only thinking that he died,
Only knowing that he died,
And for the first time I was told of my brother’s death,
I finally cried, I cried with all my heart,
My brother was dead.




Author's note: I do not have a brother so I please don't feel sorry for me.

This story is merly for those who lost a love one and couldn't mourn openly.
