Stuff..... and Stuff
We were on hover bikesapparently.....

Oh, right. Duh. Well, don’t I feel stupid? But the chase was still on. Jimmy was still about 50 yards ahead of us though. We would need to close that to have any chance of catching him. Jimmy made a wide arc of a u-turn, and we followed him. Onto a small patch of sand that couldn’t really be called a beach, and then back into the city. Connor waved at me to get my attention.
“What?” I mouthed. He pointed to his belt buckle, and then pressed it to change into his uniform. I did the same.
“Hi!” Connor’s voice said.
I jumped. How could I hear his voice so clearly?
“Your sunglasses have a head set built into them now. Tap your left ear.” Connor’s voice said.
Sure enough, I felt the ear piece. I guess I was so surprised I didn’t notice it. When I tapped it, a mouthpiece came down. “Hello?” I asked.
“Hi. Look, there’s no way we can keep this up if we want to catch him.” Connor said.
“You have something in mind?” I asked.
“Yeah. I’m going to attach my bike to yours, and stand on the nose of mine, stretch out, and grab him.”
“You think that’s actually gonna work?”
“Worth a shot.”
“Guys?” It was Aaron.
“What?”
“Ummm, what’s the place with the planes called again?”
“An airport?” Larry asked, he had his headset on too.
“No, where the planes take off and land.”
“A runway?” I asked.
“Yeah, that’s the one. Jimmy’s on a runway.” Aaron said hurriedly.
I looked up, and sure enough, Jimmy had blasted past a rusted down collapsed fence, and was heading toward the runway.
“Okay Connor, you’re up.”
Connor swung his bike so it was riding parallel to mine. He pressed a button, and metal rods came out of the side of his bike, and linked the two bikes together.
“When do you come up with all this stuff?” I asked into the headset.
“I get bored.”
Connor then crawled over his handlebars, to crouch on the rounded nose of the bike.
“Increase speed.” he said.
I pushed the throttle of my bike, and his matched the speed. We drew closer and closer to Jimmy, who was now on the beginning of the runway. We were gaining on him.
“Good thing this runway is abandoned.” I said.
“Uhhh, guys?” said Larry.
“What?!” I snapped.
“Look up.”
Oh. s**t.
I guess the airport wasn’t as abandoned as I thought. There was a plane coming right for us. A piece of paper that must have been kicked up from the ground hit me in the face. I pulled it away, and saw there was something written on it:

‘Those buildings are the hangers, all the other planes and the working airport are on the other side. Hope you didn’t think it was abandoned, you have a plane to catch.
-Jimmy’

Okay, Jimmy was turning out to be a real d**k. But we could worry about that later. Right now, we had to figure out to do about the plane.
“Maybe we should have gone to China to look for someone.” Aaron said.
“Shut up. Okay, Aaron, Larry, spread out on either side, out of the planes’s way.”
“What about you and Conner?” Larry asked.
“Connor, can I activate those supports that hold the bikes together from my bike?”
“Yeah, press the button on the tip of the left handle bar.” he said. “A little closer, we need to get a little closer.”
“Dude, the plane?”
Connor looked up. “s**t.”
“Yeah, don’t worry, I’ve got it covered.”
The planes landing gear was out, it was going to land any second. I sped up. We got closer. My brain was rattling from the vibrations of the engines.
“Why didn’t you put sound dampers on these headsets?” I yelled.
“I”ll remember that for next time!” Connor yelled.
The plane was almost on us. Larry and Aaron were at a safe distance.
“Okay, ready?”
“For what?!?”
“One!”
“Paul?”
“TWO!” I yelled over the roar.
“Paul?!”
“THREE!!!”
“PAUL!”
I pressed the button, and the supports let go. Connor shot foreword, the fact that it was now suddenly lighter on its right side making it drift left, missing the firs set of wheels. The rear set on his side barely missed his head as he shot through. I wasn’t so lucky. I had let up on the throttle to press that button, so I was suddenly going slower. Like Connor, my bike started to dip, but the opposite way. Acting on instinct, I threw my legs over to the left side of my bike. The weight shift tipped the bike fully onto its right side. I had already dodged the first wheels, but not the second set.
The momentum of my bike kept it spinning, and as I spun an 360, I slid right under the tires. I swear it skinned my nose. I don’t know how I did it, but, while it was still spinning mind you, I up righted the bike mid motion, and sped forward to catch up with Connor on his runaway bike. I pressed the button again, sending the supports back. Then I slammed the breaks. The force shot Connor foreword. He stretched out his arms, and caught Jimmy around the legs.
Jimmy tripped, and they rolled. At a speed of about 100 miles per hour, that had to hurt. They finally stopped. We all rushed over. Larry stopped, and used his power to wrap Jimmy in concrete, in case he tried to run, again.
I stood over him. “*whew* As I was saying, they’re pretty fast.” I said, guesturing to the bikes.
“Something says your not with the cops.” He said.
I laughed. “No. I said that, but you wouldn’t listen.”
“Those bikes are pretty fast.” he commented..
“So are you, and that’s why we need your help.”
