Ch. 18- Spring Break (Part 4)
For the two weeks the class spent in Brazil, Lee and Sakura spent very little time together. Rune and Sakura spent about a week and a half together, doing dinner and other casual events; Lee spent his days with Rahatani and Nyoko, while spending his nights at clubs with several exotic women and drinks.

One evening, Sakura was sitting alone in her room and thinking about her feelings for Lee. As she considered her feelings and how their relationship had become a steady rock to her, Sakura realized… she loved him. She loved everything about him. She loved his messy crimson hair, his sweet personality, his love of life and his ability to live it so well. She spent a few more minutes mulling over her thoughts before making a decision. “I’m going to tell him,” Sakura told herself. “He needs to know these things. It’s the only thing to do.”

Jumping from the hotel bed, Sakura left her room and went next door to Lee’s room. The door was slightly open, so she opened it all the way and, gathering her courage, went in.

“Hey Lee. I need to tell you-” Sakura began, but stopped short as she gaped at what greeted her instead of Lee.

Rahatani was lying on her bed with another man.

She was topless but for a black bra that had a strap dangling over her tanned left arm. With her back to the door, Raha inclined her head over her shoulder, allowing Sakura a better view of the strange man: he had chestnut brown hair that was slightly longer in the front than the back and his bangs seemed to fall in front of his eyes. He had pale blue eyes and because of the light shining in through the window, they seemed even paler.

“Hey Raha. Why’s the… door… open?” Lee asked as he came in and saw this. Sakura looked at Lee with a confused look; she had figured that he would get pissed, but he was just as confused as she. From behind Lee came Nyoko, who squealed and cried out, “ORION!!!” Nyoko then leaped over Raha’s still-semi-naked body, tackle-hugged the man, and fell on top of him on the floor next to the bed.

Lee and Sakura both tried to suppress a fit of giggles while appearing shocked at Nyoko’s knowledge of the identity of Raha’s companion. Raha glared at Nyoko and said through slightly-bared teeth, “Nyoko… could you kindly get off of Orion.”

Nyoko quickly stood up and began to laugh nervously. “Sorry about that, ‘Rion,” Orion just smiled, patted Nyoko on the head, and replied, “Don’t worry about it, Nyoko. Accidents happen, I get it.” The rather handsome stranger then glanced at Lee and Sakura, turned to a flustered Raha, who was still struggling to maintain her composure, and mildly asked, “Who are these two? The red head looks like you.”

Rahatani slipped her white tank top that had been lying on the floor back on and walked behind Lee and Sakura. She placed a hand on Sakura’s shoulder and said, “This is Sakura. She’s my neighbor.” Raha then placed a hand on Lee’s shoulder and continued, “This guy’s Lee. He’s Sakura’s closest friend, my roommate, and my little brother.”

Sakura looked up at Rahatani with a look of shock on her face. Orion gave a smile and said, “Hey there. The name’s Orion, and I’m Raha’s boyfriend.” If he noticed Sakura and Lee’s gaping-with-immense-surprise expressions, he gave no indication. He continued, “You can just call me Rion. I’d love to stay longer, but I’ve got to go.” He stepped over to Raha, wrapped an arm around her waist, and gave her a tender kiss before walking out of the room, leaving a very flustered and wildly blushing Raha behind.

At this point, Lee looked at Sakura and asked, “Are you okay?” Sakura, still highly confused, pointed to him, then to Raha, and then to the door while stammering, “You and Raha… Raha and Rion… you’re calm.”

Lee and Raha exchanged confused look as Nyoko was jumping and waving her arm around. “Oh! Oh! I know!!!” she said as she jumped. Nyoko then pointed at Lee and Raha as she stated matter-of-factly, “Sakura thought you two were going out. Right?” Sakura nodded nervously.

Raha and Lee glanced at each other for a moment; Raha asked, “You didn’t tell her that Nyoko and I are your sisters, did you?” Lee scratched the back of his head, laughed nervously, and said, “I guess I did forget to mention that.”

Two hours later…

“And I’ve known this only a little while after I moved,” Lee finished up.

Sakura was sitting next to him on his bed as he explained everything that had happened since just before they had met to her. They were alone in the warm hotel room; Rahatani already left, probably to go meet up with Orion, and Nyoko mentioned something about going to the beach. As she sat there and listened, she was unsure if he was completely crazy or telling the whole truth; her suspicions had been made baseless when he had levitated a glass of water in front of her, made the water come out of the glass, dance the cha-cha in mid-air, then splash into the cup and sit quietly back down on the night table next to the bed.

“I guess… that ties up the loose ends,” Sakura simply said. They were silent for a few minutes, until Sakura spoke up. “Lee…” she began as she reached out and held his hand. “I’m glad you told me this,” Sakura finished saying.

Lee lowered his head and asked, “So, does that mean that you’ll trust me again?”

Sakura felt Lee’s grip tighten slightly, a sure sign that he was worried, and replied, “I’ve always trusted you. I’m just glad that there are no secrets between us.” Lee looked up at her and stared into her eyes. Sakura looked back into his and smiled. He placed a hand on Sakura’s back and she placed a hand on his cheek. Lee felt warmth inside of him that slowly grew. They leaned close to each other…

Closer...

Closer…

Closer…

Just as their lips were about to touch, Sakura’s cell phone rang.

They reluctantly pulled away from each other and Lee let Sakura answer the phone. When she hung up a few minutes later, she turned to Lee with a smile and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving, saying nothing else verbally; her actions said enough.

No more secrets. Huh? Lee sighed lightly and then went to the window where he stared out into the night.

Sakura was walking down the hallway and thought to herself. I said there aren't any secrets… but does me not telling you that I love you count as a secret?
