on the sci-fi channel, brave new world (199 cool came on..lenord nemoy, peter gallagher and miguel ferrer...and a couple other names ive seen before. We're reading Brave new world in english..so far, ive been amazed by the book...but yea, they wont be showing the movie in school. any movie whose tagline is "permiscuity(spelling?) is every citizens duty" is begging for an R rating and it was well deserved..lol..i tihnk it was r...they prolleh edited lots. what with the orgies and the sex scenes. its a good concept...mum and I disputed how people in any society will stray, and how power corrupts, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. I say that nothing can beat human nature, she argues that God can. which is true, but, her point was, raise a person in a christian life, and atmosphere. if you slap him, his normal instinct to slap back will not exist, cause thats not what christians beleive. I agree, in that instance. but slap that same man, every 5 minutes, every day, and eventually, he will slap back. she still says no, that people will know that God doesnt want them to hit back. I say that people will lose faith in God, that they will wonder why God is allowing them to take such punishment...and eventually they break. becasue humans are flawed..imperfect.. wretched, disqusting. not to see we arent amazing, or beautiful, or anything like that. but we are flawed. and no amount of righteousness can save someone from an endless onslaught of persecution. that is why there is forgiveness, for when we stray, wee can return. the only way that people will overcome human nature, is if we engineer emotionless, perfect people. which will never happen. so what do you think? can human nature be conqured? By God, or any other force. be it a Godly or otherwise society. do humans have the capacity to be under one rule, with one routine, forever? or will there always be opposition? and unrest. then my mom got all offended implying that if i argue that absolute power corrupts absolutely, God will eventually become corrupt. which is NOT what Im saying. God and Man are on 2 entirely different spectrums. theres no way to even compare the 2. so ON THIS MORTAL PLANE, my question still stands.
