I want you to think about your best friend. where did you meet them? what was your first impression? how long have you been friends? Me? i have two best friends. One i met at school in 6th grade, four years ago. my first impression of her was not good at all... i started hanging out with her though and we got on famously, we lived near each other so we got together alot and did stuff. then we had this big fight because of the common reason, rumors. some of her friends told her htat i had done some things that i hadnt done (I dont even remember them anymore) i was shocked she belived them though. took her 4 months to relalize that they were lies and her new 'best friend' was the liar. we made up after that and are fast friends to this day.

Most friends are made at school or at church or work. thats just how it works. because your around that person so often and regularly you just get to know each other out of nessesicity or just because they're there. others would be Favorite restaurants, health clubs, and randomly going up to someone and saying hi.

My other best friend i met online. She and i both go to the same chat site and were always on at the same time (once again, together often and regularly) so we go to know each other. we exchanged AIM sn's and got to know each other well. she's been there for me when i've needed a shoulder to cry on and a hand to get back up and i've been there for her as well.

Friends can be found most places. you just have to look around and take a chance. sure your going to find some duds, but in what do you not find duds? your going to get hurt sure, but you'll be stronger for it. and eventualy you'll strike gold and find someone you'd never part with for a million dollars. and i'm not talking 'that someone special' sure they might be found too but thats another topic for another day. the best friends can most often be found right under your nose, their often over looked because their not as outgoing or active but if you take the time to know them then you'd find their the finest person you know.
