A girl from the night
no reason for light.
Who I am hates who I've been
and what I've done,
but weeps for what I've been through.
For no one ever sees
what could ever really be.
Behind those joyful eyes
the torture, the pain
of every miserable day.
For what was once happy
has turned to sorrow,
with absolutely no hope for tomorrow.
If this is life,
is it really worth living?
