Vera -going by that name only- is an Elf, by all forms. She stands at a commanding yet slim 6'4", weighing approximately 140 pounds. Though she was slim, she was still voluptuous, with gentle, appealing curves. She appeared to be perhaps 23, though he mannerisms suggested the truth, that she had been around much longer than any mere human could ever be. And she was still young. Her hair, which trails down past her waist, is thick, and with a texture that never lay perfectly straight, but did not curl either. The color of it is stunning, being a pale sky-blue at her roots, her faced framed by two silver locks, and gradually darkening, until it became a midnight black for the last 7 or 8 inches. It also had the strange habit of changing, to a solid royal blue, whenever she had been submerged in water. Her face had smooth, subtle features, and stunningly silver eyes. Her skin was very pale, like moonlight, but did not give off the air of being sickly. Only pure.
Vera's clothing habits were not what you'd expect from an Elf. She had spent much time touring the world after leaving her homelands several decades ago, and over that time she had picked up many different fashions, most found in dim bars filled with odd creatures of the night. Her current trademark was a silk corset, which laced up the front with a black cord, silver threads intertwined gently. On her lower half she usually wore a linen skirt that fell to her mid calf, though the hem was very oddly cut, bouncing for a span of about 6 inches between her lower thigh and mid calf. She sometimes wore a black pair of webbed fishnet stockings, held up by a black lacy garter belt. The fishnets were the only things to ever grace her feet though, as she never wore any sort of shoe.
Vera's elven clan had been commonly known as Daughters of Water. It was a matriarchal society, where the women held all the power and respect. Most of the clan simply had a spiritual connection with water, though those of higher birth had certain powers considering it. Vera was one of those members. When it came to water, she had uncanny control over it. When near a body of water, she could absorb the water into her own skin, which often gave her a luminous, blue hue. She could also swim deep within the water, never having to come up for breath. When not near natural accumulations of the liquid, she could conjure it, seemingly out of thin air. That was often her favorite drink - the conjured water had a certain quality to it that always made her euphoric.
Vera had left the nobility her homeland held for her though, not long after her older sister Lyra had left. She followed much the same path, winding about the world, though most places she visited were bars and other such establishments. She spent a few decades in the Black Forest in Germany, and was sad to leave when she did. Now, she found herself employed at a Gaian bar, Dearly Beloved, as a waitress and occasional musician, playing the Cello. Most of the patrons though were there for one of two things -Blood and Sex- which made it quite the interesting place to observe humans and the other such species. Though she is slowly making a home for herself there, only one man has truely known her, a man who visits Dearly rarely, with the name Ryu Spirit-Fist. She will always remember him, for he has changed her life irreversibly, by fathering her unborn child.
