Teh log of teh Kell
My journal is now for books I've read and book reviews (and maybe other reviews too). And, recently it has come to be used for updates on my upcoming charity. =)
Summer's almost here again! + I haven't posted in a while...
With summer just around the corner and a reading club at my local public library, the reviews will again begin to flow!!! Muahahahaha.
Okay, so I actually read two books this week. And I'ma go through my other journals and (FINALLY) add in the missing stuff, unless, of course, I forgot what I thought about the book or something. =P
I suppose I could add in reviews for other stuff I've read and not reviewed on here.... I'm extremely biased, by the way... =)

Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown
Rating: 6.5/10
Synopsis:
Prequels: None that I know of
Sequels: None that I know of
Review: It wasn't half of what it was hyped up to be. Molly wasn't that bold, actually. She was a lesbian and had that tough, I-don't-care-what-you-think-of-me attitude usually, but at school she hid behind boyfriends. I was like, WTF? She had no problem telling people except at school. And everybody liked kissed her feet. It was pathetic. It was as if the world revolved around her. Kind of annoying.... If you want to read it, go ahead. It wasn't excrutiatingly bad, but it wasn't very good, either.

Empress of the World by ????
Rating: 6/10
Synopsis:
Prequels: None that I know of
Sequels: None that I know of
Review: Okay, so I didn't take a particular liking to this book. It was, at times, predictable. The characters weren't very good. I felt like I was reading about them as opposed to hearing their story, if that makes any sense. Nothing bad lasts very long. The good stuff keeps happening. A lot. It's very happy, yet Nic (who I keep wanting to call Molly) was pretty irritating, because she seemed spineless and stupid. And I'm sick of lesbians having these freaky names. I mean, really. Battle? You've got to be kidding me.
Anyway, if you want to read it, go ahead. I'm not stopping you.
