The Prince’s heart
There once was a princess whose father liked to gamble. Every day the king would be at the games betting a lot of money. This made the princess very sad that her dad would rather be out gambling instead of being home with her.
So one day she went with her father to the games. when the king was watching the horse racing the princess started to wander around. She accidentally bumped into a young prince from another kingdom. As she looked at him she fell in love with him instantly. She went the next day and the day after that but the prince ignored her and only watched the games. She tried desperately to get his attention but every day he would ignore her. She was so in love with him that She went and asked the old witch of her kingdom how to get the attention of a man. The witch replied “have you caught his eye with beauty?” ”no” “then go and catch his eye with your prettiest dress.” And so the next day the princess wore her most beautiful dress to the games. But no matter how she danced and twirled the prince played her no heed. This made the princess even sadder so she went to the old witch in the village again and asked her how to get a mans attention. And the old witch asked”did you ware your most beautiful dress and danced for him?” “yes” “have you?” “No.” “Then do as I ask and buy his heart.” So the princess went and bought the prince a hansom robe. But when she tried to give it to him he told her to leave. This saddened her even more so for a third time she went to the old woman and asked “how you win a mans heart?” “have you worn your prettiest dress for him?” “yes” have bought him a gift?” “yes, but he didn’t even look at it” so the old woman thought to her self and then said “go and be where his attention lies.” So the next day the princess disscised her self as a jockey and had her fathers fastest stallion saddled. She had entered a race at the games. As she got in the starting gate she looked to the crowd to find her beloved prince
