After 20 issues and a series cliff hanger, Rob Schrab is finally finishing the Scud series where it left off 10 years ago with the long awaited issue #21.

For those of you who don't know the story, the Scud series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where violence runs rampant, and weapons are available to anybody through vending machines... but if you want someone dead, and don't want to do it yourself, you can purchase a Scud unit from a vending machine to carry out the hit for you. Once the Scud has killed its target, it self-destructs automatically.

But that's just the beginning for this Scud....

Scud is hired to kill Jeff; a crazy female plug-headed mutant. During his encounter with her at a subway station, he happens to catch a glimpse through a mirror of the self-destruct notice written on his back. Realizing that he doesn't want to die, he shoots off Jeff's arms and legs, and puts her on life support at the hospital. Scud then has to become a freelance assassin to pay for Jeff's monthly medical bills, and so the story begins.

The series has been long out of print, and the comics have become harder and harder to find. With the release of this new issue, Schrab will also be releasing a compilation of issues #1-21.

So if you guys missed out on Scud back in the 90's, I highly recommend you pick up the compilation when it releases. It's a great series, and I'm glad to see it's finally being finished.
