Who is the better "Kira" ? Mikami Teru or Light Yagami ? If Mikami Teru pick the Death Note in the first place he will not follow orders to Light but he is not smart enough to battle with Ryuzaki ,L . However , his perseverance to put judgment is extremely high . But if Light he can follow the flow with Ryuzaki ,L . . . Whos better ?

Mikami'd be nothing without Light. I don't think he'd be able to handle the power of the Death Note by himself.. though Light did go a bit insane with power, Mikami's case would probably end up worse. /:

Light was definately the best Kira only because he stuck with his standards. If you were a mostly innocent person who wasn't trying to find out who he was or oppose him, then you really had nothing to fear from Light... The same couldn't be said of either Misa or Mikami.

No one could have surpassed Light as Kira. All of the actions he took were flawless, well, except for the last one. Gloating into defeat, sheesh. But, if I were to choose out of fondness, Mikami all the way. biggrin DD

Light, all the way.
Mikami seemed kind of stupid to me. I know he was...What was the word they used for him? Practical? I don't remember. But, everything he did was according to Lght's plan. Well, except for the thing that totally ruined the whole plan (that is, how he withdrew the real notebook from the bank, and thusly led to Light's destruction). That he did on his own and see what happened because of it. But Mikami is also...He seems more insane than Light. Light was crazy on power. Mikami was a deranged follower. He freaked me out.

Hm, well, Mikami definitely proved himself, but he depended on the notion of "God" choosing him. Light, on the other hand, was quite content with BEING God.
Also, Mikami moved too quickly. Remember how he wanted to kill off neutral people too? Light knew that that was the wrong move at the wrong time.
I think Mikami was ultimately too crazy-out-of-control to last.

Light, hands down. Sure, he went crazy with power, but he still kept his head through it all -- if that makes any sense. (Spoiler: Another reason I didn't like the ending; Light isn't that stupid!) But enough of that. Moving onto Mikami: He was pretty creepy, I mean seriously... I mean, looking at him was like looking at a caricature! Don't get me wrong, by season two Light's looks have gone down the drain and you see has fully submerged into Kira, but he wasn't nearly as crazy or narrow minded as Mikami.

Light's smarter and has better ideals so he's better for the Kira job.
But I absolutely LOVE Mikami and his insanity! He's rocks harder than Light any day 3nodding

Raito-kun. Like most people have stated, Mikami-kun depended on Raito-kun. Without him, Mikami-kun would be lost...kinda. Also, there's no way Mikami-kun could have out-manuvered L-sama the way Raito-kun did. Not for that long, at least. Then again Raito-kun did kinda crack at the end when he screamed those words which kind of screwed him over, so yeah... Yeah, I use titles. Dunno why, but I do.

-- {SONATA} -- If I am extreme, I am not extreme in the way you are Against Nature's silence, I use actionOkay, guess I'm the only one who thinks Mikami is the better Kira for non-subjective reasons. I guess it all depends on how you look at the question, really.
To explain, first off, of course Raito is the more efficient and successful Kira. While Mikami certainly is smarter than the average person (in his backstory, it says that he passed law school without much difficulty; and even Raito calls him smart during the incident where Mikami called Takada during her and Raito's meeting, and Raito definietly doesn't seem like the person to hand comments to anyone ordinary), he is not as smart as Raito, who is a genius. He can keep up with L, and even surpass him, and I don't think Mikami could dodge L for as long as Raito did. And Raito has charisma. He could disguise himself as anything he wants to be-the head detective's son with a strong sense of justice, Hideki Ryuuga's best friend, the loving boyfriend, when his intentions are much more deadly. He can charm and decieve people to have them achieve his own ends. He's "so insane he's sane," to put it in that way-he can curb his own craziness. And Raito's a natural-born leader, whether he's truly leading the group (like the rabid Kira supporter rally at the SPK HQ) or trying to lead them in circles (the investigation team). Mikami is merely a follower. Sure, he is freer than what one would define as a "follower"-he actually takes initiative and situations into his own hands when he feels that his Kami is unable to do so.
However, Mikami is a true Kira at heart, and for me, that makes him the better Kira. In my opinion, and I've think I've said this many times in other Death Note topics, whether it's in this guild or not, Raito's only using the Death Note to prove his own existence, not because he actually wants to benefit humanity-to sum it up without a rant that I usually go into, he thinks that the world is "rotten," but his pride keeps him from deeming his own life as "rotten." With the Death Note, it amplifies his pride to make him elevate himself to the status of "God." I think Mikami, as crazy as he might be in his love for the kill, sincerly thinks that he's doing this for the world. He wouldn't think "Kira is God" otherwise. He views people through a flawed black and white. While Raito cares about his own life and only his own life (heck, he won't do the trade for the shinigami eyes because he doesn't want to cut his lifespan in half), Mikami is fully prepared to endanger himself for the cause. He makes various appearances on TV to indirectly ask Kira for directions, which lessens his immunity (and it did, in the end). Not to mention, Mikami was a true Kira from the beginning. As we can see from his innocent phase, without the Death Note, Raito is fervently against Kira. And while he agrees that there are certain person that world would be better without (an easy thing to say in hindsight), he thinks human life is precious. He won't even manipulate Misa as per L's request because "it goes against humanity." Mikami, on the other hand, had Kira's ideals from the start. Due to his unsuccessful reforms to make people he considered "evil" to be "good," he begins to think that the world would be better off without their existence. But he evens goes farther to ostracize his mom when she was only concerned about his own safety. Everyone who doesn't have the same morals as him, he considers "evil"-he even goes so far as to make Takada say that lazy people and people with a past criminal records would be eliminated, too. And think about this-when Raito finds out the Death Note is real by killing two people using it, he feels a great amount of guilt for it. He throws up at the thought, loses sleep, and even loses weight. However, he reassures himself that he's the "only one who can do it" and through use of the Death Note, because desensitized to human death. But that's only with the Death Note. Mikami's mother and his school bullies all died in a car accident. While he was traumatized by it, he gets over it once he sees the happinness of the students in the classroom. And when he saw murderers on the news and made judgements on them, they all died following it. So Mikami's already desensitized to murdering "evil" people before Raito did, and without the Death Note. While one wouldn't even recognize the Raito before the Death Note and the Raito after the Death Note, the Death Note only does so much for Mikami. It gives him powers to commit the judgement he wanted to do in the first place.
---
So, in conclusion for those of you who think I'm just showing off and for those of you who are too lazy to read that much: Raito might be the better Kira in a technical sense-he's a genius whose intelligence combined with his acting skills and charisma could decieve anyone. However, as Raito without the Death Note would have never become Kira in the first place, Mikami was a Kira-type person from the beginning-he's not afraid to put his life in danger for his powerfully felt ideals, he's already desensitized of "passing judgement" on criminals, and most of all-he's not doing this for his own personal reasons. He really does think he could help better the world. In the vast indifference, I invent a meaning I don't watch unmoved; I intervene
