In the town of Green Oaks, USA, people are happy. There's a bowling alley, convenience store, family-owned grocery store, two schools, a hotel, park, and "doctor block". The Doctor Block has most of the medical needs of the town, and those they don't have you can pick up at almost any store. They've even got a small hospital. In short, the town has everything the city has, with no mass franchises to encourage more. In winter and autumn, it's pleasant. Not so much as to have people playing outside in normal clothes, but bad enough for people to stay inside with a hot drink and warm fireplace, all warm and cozy inside while all is undesirable and dismal outside.

The town of Green Oaks also has a sister-town down the road. This town, Sunny Pines, is roughly a mirror-image. However, Green Oaks has more houses and families, while Sunny Pines has the collage. Most become doctors and stay, some become lawyers and move out. Visitors are few to both towns, but foreigners come to both to settle and learn, since the collage is surprisingly good. Aside from these two towns, the surrounding wilderness is just that, with the occasional hunter camp that is populated year-round, and a small shelter constructed by young children. These latter are often closer to the streams and rivers, and every so often they would have a rough bridge, usually of large stones one must hop across.

One particularly good structure, however, has been there long enough to earn a name: River Cross. It is well named, as this shelter (the name is true here) has a true bridge. The bridge is rickety, and seems unstable, but one look underneath proves otherwise. The bridge is perfectly safe, a walkway underneath it if the Crossing were to fall. The other name is given to the building standing watch over the river. It is a large wooden building in an even larger tree with a rope ladder for easy access, and an unsettling wooden pole attached to a strong limb with the occasional handhold if the ladder is ever missing.

The building is like a miniature church on the outside, with a golden cross nailed to the one door in. The first room seems to be a greeting room, with chairs nailed into the floor, and a table likewise steadied. To the left doorway looks like a rough snipers-post. This room has two windows, and from the outside this room bulges out of the main section, giving a half-circle bulge where none should be. The room's two windows look out in roughly opposite directions: The first looking out at the path to River Cross, the view ending were both the pole and ladder are. The other window looks out over the bridge. A cross is nailed on both sides of the river-window.

To the right of the greeting room looks like a rest-room, with nailed-down mats, depressions in the floor filled with a surprisingly fresh soft fluff, and a closet in the corner with blankets and the occasional pillow. There's also a slightly worn, but still whole, teddy bear; and either: The founders of River Cross, those who began construction, finished it as adults and one of their children forgot it, or the many generations of kids that visited this place had a young sibling that forgot it.

The final room, straight from the greeting hall, looks to be a jungle-gym. There are many wooden rods, interlocking and branching off. These sit freely, anchored on the occasional strong limb. Some rods line up next to each other, and those visiting in spring or summer see why: the parts of the tree that have the solid "mats" near them are the parts with fruits and flowers closest. Some of the poles, standing straight up and serving no real purpose but furthering the likelihood that the gym will last a long time, are covered with notes. Most are simple love-notes, carved in the morning and shown, at last, that night.

The tree itself looks to be ideal for tree-forts. The trunk is thick and tall, with the branches forming a funnel, with the fort at the thin point. the branches form a large protection from the wind, and in spring and summer, a natural air-scenter. The tree is one of the apple variety, and whoever decides to stay that summer weekend there will need to bring little.

The towns, as mentioned before, are happy ones. Until the creatures came along, they would have stayed that way.

~Hello folks! This is an RPG based in two small towns. But you know that, don't you? You will either play as a human being in the town(which would help), or as one of the dark creatures that have infiltrated the town(not that many, yet).

The story is only there to give the setting. The overview is this:
Dark:
The Dark creatures are at a power-struggle. A select few have sent agents into the surrounding areas of Sunny Pines and Green Oaks, with an intent to gain power. The Kintrain, the leading power that is on everybody's side, has barricaded all roads out of the area, to ensure nobody simply drives out. They left only the road between the two towns. The different factions have to gain power, by any means. This might mean killing the sheriff, or it might mean converting a few people. This all depends on your factions goals and your own, and how you intend to accomplish them. You have no cavalry to help you here, only one Kintrain wandering about.

Humans:
The main ways out are barricaded. You do not know that. There are evil things afoot. You also do not know that. All you know is something feels wrong and that recently the smell of rotting meat comes, at random, into an area, then leaves as suddenly as it comes. You must survive overall, while going about your business, and eventually get help, or get out.

Out-Game Rules:
-The usual in every RP.
-PM me your profile, the layout is below.
-Include either Mr. Green( mrgreen ) or the title "Mr. Gray" in your PM.
-Please read all the posts, and be patient if not all are up yet.

The next few posts will detail exactly what must be done, and how to do it.
Post 1: You just read it.

Dark races:
~~Vampires-Player/NPC
The vampires intend to gain power. They can turn humans. There are three main types:
-Type Threes: These are the militia of the vampires.
They can see other vampires, but not other creatures. They can turn humans they bite into other type threes. They can go into sunlight, but do not enjoy running water or garlic, and they cannot enter churches. Can be killed with less trouble then a normal human.
-Type Twos: These are the "normal" vampire.
They can see other vampires and other creatures, but not tell which is what. They cannot enter running water, but have no problem with standing water. They cannot handle garlic, or crosses, and cannot enter churches. They are irritated by sunlight, but can handle it. Is harder to kill then a human. Can make more twos and threes.
-Type Ones: These are very hard to find. There might be 100 in total live Type Ones.
Can see and tell apart vampires and other creatures. They cannot touch water without experiencing incredible pain, but there is a chemical they have developed so they can handle water in small amounts. One bottle of the chemical "purifies" one bottle of water. They cannot be in the same room as a cross, but when a cross is wielded against them, the wielder needs to have faith that it DOES work, that their god WILL save them. This need not be for standing crosses, as the vampire itself does that. They are very, very hard to kill, but sunlight hurts them, and leaves something like a sunburn. Can make more ones, twos, and threes.

~~Embodied Dead-Player/NPC
The embodied dead are a curious race. They can turn humans by placing a hand on the humans' forehead or heart, and focusing energy into them. They intend to make more dead. There are again three types:
Type Threes: Weakest possible. Can turn humans into type threes. Cannot enter graveyards, or rooms with crosses. Are easy to kill. Eye color changes to gray. Can see other Dead but not other creatures.
Type Twos: Normal. Can turn humans into type twos or threes. Cannot enter graveyards, churches, or touch crosses. Are harder to kill then humans. eye color changes to faint gray. Can see other Dead and other creatures, but cannot tell which is what.
Type Ones: Can turn humans into other ones, twos, or threes. Cannot go near graveyards, churches, rooms with crosses. Are incredibly hard to kill, but not as hard as Type One vampires. Eye color is a deep black. Can see other Dead and other creatures, and tell the difference.

~~Worm-Player/NPC
The true name of these odd creatures would be "Servants Of The Worm". They are trying to get as many dead as possible. They have no true ranks; they all have the same power. They are a sort of middle-ground between the races, having no good benefits and nothing working against them. They can infect fresh corpses, nothing alive or dead too long. They all smell of earth.

~~Grays-Player/NPC
They are trying to gain more forces. They have no real ranks, instead, they have an infection. This infection creates or mutates various creatures, and those serve instead. The infection dies in enough heat or cold. There are several types:
Infected Plant: These have no real change, instead only being able to infect what eats them.
Infected Animal: The animal goes mad, and anything it bites or anything that eats it gets the infection. The animals eyes turn a grassy green. It receives limited thought, and can be controlled by these thoughts. These thoughts can be governed by infected humans.
Infected Human: Their blood carries the infection. They can control infected animals via thought. Their eyes turn a solid, grassy green. Their intelligence plummets.
Gray: None survived long enough for any sure information to be outside the Galan.

~~Galan-NPC Only
Officers, of sorts, they ensure all is fair and that the races are using only their own power, and what they can do that was set within the "rules". They can see and tell apart factions, and tell their rank. They look like humans, and cannot be detected by any dark creature. They often wear either yellow or orange clothing. They all wear a hat of some kind that casts a shadow over their eyes. Killing one of the five might benefit the killer's faction, as the Galan carry many useful things, such as maps, food, water, ammo, guns...

How This Will Work:
-You will be in one of the two towns. If you see something and wish to interact, do so. Example:
42 walked through the streets. As he walked, he saw a man juggling signs that read, "Make Your Posts Longer, Please". 42 had no idea what this meant, so he walked to the man and said, "What does that mean?" while gesturing to one of the signs in mid-air.
>>Talk to the man<<
Example 2:
The man laughed, and went on juggling. 42 was not enjoying this, so it punched the man with the signs.
>>Attack Man<<
Accompanying a post that is attacking something, roll four 100 sided dice. 200 and above means a hit, with the higher the number meaning more damage, while less then 200 is a miss. If you have a weapon, that will add to the damage, and usually have an effect.

-How To See Other Races:
If your character can see other races, or I'm posting as an NPC that can and there are some nearby, your character will see, clear as day, colored sphere above the races' head. It will be attached to a same-colored cone that ends above the person's head.
Vampires-Red
Dead-Blue
Worms-Green
Grays-Purple
Kintrain-Orange

The brighter the color the higher the rank.

Things To Remember:
Pay attention to subtle things.
Nowhere is safe. Only safer.
If you know an opponents race, use their weaknesses against them.
You can be killed. If so, you can make a new character. Post it in the same thread as your now-dead character.
If you are hurt, get to a doctor. That easy.
The townsfolk that are NPCs have memories: They remember faces and actions.
