So this is where I'm gunna put updates and things I want to draw your attention to.

A quick "How To" or more like "What To"
Make sure you read everything first. There are things to read here in the main forum, and there are other important things at Student Profiles.
If you wish to just hang out and chat without roleplaying, you may, but please keep that to the OOC subforum. If you do wish to RP, go ahead and fill out a student profile.
Have trouble creating a character? Check out the premade characters in the student profiles section, they're pretty cool wink
After you've been approved, you can start RPing! (How cool is that?) Right now, the only area that's open is "Outside Hogwarts" (sorry about that) but everyone needs to get ready for school, anyways. Once we get a few more memebers (or until Kayla gets back from vacation) we'll all board the Hogwarts Express the school term will start. Bare with us while we work towards that, and sorry for the delay! We can't wait either, I promise.

We have been getting loads of new student profiles, this is very exciting. We even have our Head Girl. We've gotten enough that we're now looking at a date and time for the train stuffs and opening ceremony (including sorting) to begin. If it's not too much trouble, hobble over to the OOC Chat subform and find the thread about "when are you available?" And give us an idea of when a good idea to get all that rolling would be. Obviously there's no way to accomidate everyone, but we'd like to get as many people as we can.
Also check out the fact that the Supply List is now posted. It took myself and my real life sister hours to do. It was much harder than we thought. I'll trouble shoot it sometime tomorrow, so sorry for any errors. My little sister is gaia user nekousagi if you wanna send her a note of thanks for all her hard work. I don't think she realizes how much this stuff really means to you guys. Muahahahahahaha.

Made more Premades, check out that section. There are three for every house and gender. Please also check out the roll call in the RP Details section to see what students we need. We've got a lot of First Year Hufflepuffs, but we could use quite a few other Houses, and we need first year males very badly.
I'm thinking of opening staff positions to players. If you're interested shoot my a PM.
House points system is up. So far I'm the only one who knows how to update it, but that'll change soon enough. Although the school term hasn't started yet you can still earn house points. How? Check out our new referral section. How cool is that? It's in the OOC chat, in case you're lost...

Hey everyone. You may notice some new faces around! We've branched out from "people Skada knows" to inviting cool looking people from the Harry Potter forum. Why? House Points Baby. You'll notice Slytherin is 125pts ahead of everyone else, and well... growing. Skada only sent out 100 invites today. But guess what? You can do that to! The shiny referral program? All you have to do it post usernames. Less work for you than Skada. Soooooo, get to work folks!
And I lied. It's not really just for House Points. It's because, we love people. We've got a school to fill. People are necessary. Sending invites are a great way to get people. But we're sure you figured that out on your own...

There's a new rule up that everyone needs to read over multiple times. I'm very serious about this. I've rejected several profiles based entirely on them breaking this rule.
The referral program is getting out of hand, and will probably be gone by the end of Saturday.
Right now are student count is at:
Gryffindor - 8
Slytherin - 6
Ravenclaw - 9
Hufflepuff - 6
Please note that starting at this time we will be less inclined to accept Ravenclaws than we will Slytherins and Hufflepuffs.
Also, we have been getting a lot of shy, bookworm characters. We are getting veryvery sick of them. We will start rejecting them purely on overused personality unless you really impress us with them. We want interesting, or at least normal people running around...
Also, I have gotten enough interest on people being able to play Hogwarts Faculty Characters that there will be a thread in the OOC Chat sometime in the near future on this subject. Please watch for it if you have expressed interested, or have been meaning to do so.

Thus, we are currently not accepting any more Ravenclaws, until the other houses fill in.
Although this is temporary, entries for 6th year female Ravenclaws are permanently closed.
We take no more than 4 persons per house, per year, per gender.

Entries for 1st year female Hufflepuffs are now also permanently closed.
We are, however, in need of some other Hufflepuff characters, to even things out. Thus:
- If you recruit someone who makes a Hufflepuff, the house of your choice gains 3 points.
- If you make a Hufflepuff, the house of your choice gains 3 points.

As of 7:13 pm EST the rules for the referral program have officially changed. After much consideration, the ONLY way to now gain points for referrals is if you recruit someone who makes a Hufflepuff, the house of your choice will gain 3 points. Other than that, no points. Because it was getting out of hand. And this is only good until houses even out. Then we go to no points to anyone. This includes people who you referred before and now join. Sorry to those who worked really hard on this. We do appreciate your effort, we really do. But it was getting wayyyyy too hard for us. We still want you to refer people to join, but we want you to do it because you love the RP and want your friends here, not because you get house points. Thank you.

Now that everything seems a bit more even, we're accepting Ravenclaw profiles again.
Note that the Hufflepuff point-rewarding system is still active.

Hopefully we'll stop boring you with house counts soonish. But we do have some important news.
First off - new staff member. I had two people go through my incredibly obnoxious application process, and while both candidates were incredible we picked the one we felt best. He will be working solely on reviewing profiles, and updating things like the roll call. You must still come to me about special status such as prefect and quidditch team, but basic in-or-not-in is now handled by our lovely MathrimCauthon.
Speaking of quidditch... we're covered great ground with developing a working quidditch system, even though we probably should be doing other things with our time. Be excited, once we figure out how to fit four chasers on a team and still be cannon and that sort of thing, it'll rock. Seriously.
In other news, check out the OOC Chat subforum for a possible Roleplay event that will happen pre-school term, since we're delayed in getting everyone to Hogwarts due to staff issues. I need to know if I'm off my rocker on this one, so please go post there.
And I think that's all for now. Oh! We need male characters. Very badly... keep this in mind. Officially and stuff...
