All seemed quiet in the Kitsusagi Realm HQ, even near the back where Charity had settled herself with hers and Terasu's new eggs. However, if one was to enter the room, they'd see the female sitting infront of her beanbag nest, peering at something intently. There were for eggs nestled snuggly among towels which she had wrapped herself around to keep them warm. But if on looked closely, they could see movement. One of the eggs had started wiggling, the fourth egg... seemingly the first wanting to come out. Its dark green shell having hairline cracks upon its shiny surface.
Charity's green tails thumped lightly on the floor, waiting for the youngster inside to come out. This was the moment she'd been waiting for, for the past several days. The kits were finally hatching.

Banded ears gave a slight twitch, and green eyes slowly opened from the short nap. What was that sound? Terasu leaned his head to the side, peering at the beanbag, upon which his mate and eggs rested. The father to be had curled as close around the chair as possible, body and tails wrapped about it. Curious, he lifted his head to lay his chin on the chair and on one of Charity's green tails, glancing at the eggs. Eyes widened when he realized that one was moving, even sporting some thin cracks.
....No way......
Now wide awake, he jumped up with a smile. Tails wagged side to side and paws fidgeted constantly. "Charity..."

Atae had slipped into HQ again today, wanting to check on her surrogate brother and his new family. Visiting Terasu was important to her... she ought to do it a bit more often. She padded quietly toward the back hall and the room they'd occupied, not wanting to break the ambient silence of the place, and knocked gently at the door. "It's Atae... can I come in?"

The darkest egg rocked slightly, trying to roll. It was as if the young inside waiting to hatch was upset, frustrated at the lack of warmth that had kept his egg warm since the beginning. Inside the egg paws pressed against the unyielding 'hard' that surrounded him. -_- Stupid smooth thing.

Charity smirked at Terasu when she saw his surprise, joy and said her name. "Shh" she hushed quietly, motioning to the eggs in indication that he would watch. However, her ears perked when she heard another voice. A glance being given to Terasu before giving a nod... giving her consent if Terasu wanted to let his 'sister' in. Just as long as an entourage didn't follow behind her or something. Then the mother's attention went back to the eggs.
The green egg continued to wiggle and crack until finally, some of the shell fell away, one little white paw reaching out and trying to push away some more of it. Must have freedom!

With a nod, the male rushed to the door and oopened it eagerly. He grinned to his belted friend, amazed by her timing and giving her a big hug in the doorway. Pulling back, he nodded his head inside. "They're hatching!" Once Atae was well in the room, he closed the door firmly and practically bounced back to the beanbag. He leaned in close as a tiny, white paw escaped the green egg, giving it a small sniff.
What the? The pale, marked egg began to toss about eagerly as if sensing the other siblings move about. A good bump or two was made to the other eggs, before it stilled all together. A tiny cracking sound, and the bottom of the egg was kicked off forcefully, minty green tails peeking out of the egg.

Atae looked dumbfounded. Timing indeed! How she kept doing this was beyond her. She trotted into the room and waited for Terasu to return to his station before quietly moving closer, eyes widening as she saw the shells start to crack and come apart. This was... wow.

Oh this was frustrating! With an inner howl the dark egg trembled as the kit inside smashed his forehead against the shell, tumbling his small body -still wet with what remained of the once tasty & protective egg insides- out of the shards of his shell & onto his sisters. "fffft"

Charity didn't even look up when Atae entered.. her attention was focused solely on the kits struggles to get out. They needed to do this themselves and woe to anyone that tried to help them in this most important moment! She watched as they slowly started to come out of the shells, and settled down around them, a paw gently poking the one egg that hadn't yet started to hatch.
The green egg continued to struggle... until finally her shell cracked more then fell apart, just before her brother landed on her. A tiny oof escaping the green and white kit. A piece of eggshell perched atop her head until she shook it off. Eyes remained shut to the world.. it was far too bright! Instead, the girl snuggled close to the large warm body that was near, her mother.

Holy cow!! And to think they had all once been like this. Little...furballs! Terasu couldn't help the proud smile on his face; this event was just amazing. Ears flicked back at the small struggles between shells and kits as he watched them appear bit by bit. The white kit had exited it's shell, at once snuggling against Charity. Eyes turned to the other two wriggling eggs, gasping as they collided, effectively shattering their little shells apart. A purple boy and a feathered girl!
A crunch disturbed the pale kit, destroying her little world of a shell to be toppled by a sibling. Eyes clenched shut as the kit hissed in irritation at the sudden weight, marked tails flicking in a fit.

Atae crept closer to peer at the little ones, but not close enough to touch. This was a very important time, and they needed to bond with their parents, especially their mother. And the way they did that was by touch. Curious, though, she hummed a random, short tune to see how they reacted. It was obvious she'd have a nice singing voice if she were to do more than hum, but even around "family" she was far too shy about it to do any more than that. She grinned at Charity and Terasu and murmured quietly, "They're beautiful." She wasn't as proud as Terasu, not by far, but she still felt honored a little awed to have been included in this most precious of moments.

Though first of the eggs, something seemed to keep this one calm and barely moving while his siblings worked their way out rather quickly. In fact, the unhatched kit seemed content to stay inside the familiar shell that'd been his home for days. It wasn't until he felt something against the hard surface of the egg that he perked up, paws pressing against the barrier.
Pushing his weight on the shell caused cracks along the outside, the only real sign that he finally wanted out. Paws worked tirelessly, eventually making a hole large enough for the tiny boy's muzzle, which he promtly stuck out, sniffing to clear his nose. Determined paws continued to pry the shell away from his face until his whole head fit, eyes still sealed shut. He was confused by the cold feel of the air and began to rock, soon flinging himself right out of the egg and upside-down on the beanbag.

Cold. Wet. He wanted warmth. Whimper. Cold nose into one sister. Then his upside-down brother. Then the other sister who had moved away from him. There was warmth beyond her. Lots of warmth. Red tips on his tails tried to wag sensing the larger warmth. A heavy push. He tripped over his sister's leg -maybe it was her tail. Hard to tell. Paws did not work. Head heavy. "yipp!"
The tan stripe on his face smacked flat into his mother's stomach. oooph!

"Of course they are" Charity said in responce to Atae's words. Her maternal instincts kicking in as she gathered the four pups to her with her paws. Without another word, she started to groom the four little bodies once they all had emerged from their egg shells. A brow was raised as she noticed the markings on the tails of the feathered one. After a few moments of inspection, grooming and motherly care, Charity finally spoke up once more. "Two girls and two boys" she said, a proud look being given to Terasu.

Green eyes stayed trained on the little lives, wriggling about all over the beanbag. He was just in stunned awe, never before seeing an event like this. And to say they were his own made it all the more exciting. His front paws moved to rest lightly on the beanbag, head on said paws. "I agree..." And what a variety of beautiful kits they were. He was surprised to find only one carried the obvious feathers. He watched as they were scooped close to Charity and she set to work on their first bath. Two sons and two daughters? "Heh, what a perfect balance."
"Eeek!" What was that...thing, pushing her? The kit slid along with eyes sealed, confused by the sudden contact of other warm bodies. Heavy ears tried to lift but failed miserably. Feathers did ruffle fiercly when a strange grooming went over her small body, and she meeped in discomfort. Her maw ached, and with a wiggling nose she tilted her head to the side and began teething on her pale brother. Paw, nose, ear....she didn't care what she chewed on. Just to have something in her maw instantly calmed her, however.
