After a huge agument in a other thread, I'm here to ask the question, "should FC's be made public?"

I believe yes, it makes battling someone faster also it helps to keep a track of hackers and scammers.

I'm going to post what I posted in that thread. I'm not taking sides here or anything, but after reading this whole argument thing I just thought I would put my two sense in.

On one hand I can understand how you'd want their friend codes up there. I dislike hackers as well, and I surely dont want to battle or trade with them. But, I also know a lot of people who dont like their friend codes shown, and while I have no problem with it personally, they do. So, in my opinion, I think it would be best if we put a warning in this forum as a sticky, and perhaps make the title say something like, "WARNING: If you hack read this" or something. Perhaps we should even say that their friend codes will be posted in a thread on the main page of the guild, the one you see before signing up. That way people know before they join what the guilds stand on hacking is, and what kind of punishments are in place for it. I do think we need to post it though, because more than one person could have the same name.

And, in the case of !!Razz-berry!!9, I think his code should be taken down becuase he was given no warning. However, if he is caught again, I think it should be put back up because now he knows what will happen.

Of course, these are just my opinions and I really dont have the ability to change anything, I also am not looking to get into an argument with anyone here. However, I haven't seen any warnings or anything like that around the guild saying this would happen, and if a person was ok with hacking, they wouldnt read this thread anyways. So yeah...that's just my view on the whole thing.

I would like to know about hackers/cheaters.

IMO- giving out your friend code to ANYONE means they can do what they want with it. You take the risk of something bad happening if you give it out. Obey the rules and you won't get in trouble....hopefully.

HEY! If people don't like the way the way the mods work on this forum then they can get out. Go create your own guild rather than wasting your time arguing with everyone. Staying only shows you are looking for a fight.

Cometkitty- Its just a heads up for people to be cautious. I personally wouldn't ever trade/deal with Razz because of the way he acts on the forums, not because his friend code got placed up there.

EDIT: Just saw nitnit's last post in that other thread. That is a very good point. People could create new accounts or change names but as far as I understand you are stuck with the friendcode.

I think we DEFINATELY should have public FCs. I want to be informed on hackers/cheaters so that I know who will battle fairly and not fairly. I say YES 10000000%
Furthermore, why make such a big deal, it's just your FC...
Also, I don't get how it is rude to post that, because it is for the good of the guild! Say the hacker ends up winning the July Tournament? Is that fair for the guild? I don't think so! One person trains hard for this Tourny, then a hacker presses a few buttons to get cheats and easily wins? That isn't fair! There are many reasons to support why this should be posted, and I SAY YES!!!

I have my FC in my sig. It's a very normal thing to make them public...

Either, no to get him to be quiet, or ban him (temp of course) to get him to be quiet.

You have full reason for like a day ban or something.

I agree with Kunx and the others who said yes. I believe publicly showing your FC is very good. I think this because it will let other players know that you have Wifi, then they can easily just pm you or something like that asking for a battle, rather than not publicly showing it hardly getting any challenges. I say yes.

There fault they hacked for a tourney or battle! Only time I ever hack is when, I battle one of my friends, and we both set all stats highest they go, use the strongest legends and go at it, to see who has the best strategy. I won once he won thrice.

Yeah, that's why I was agreeing we should put them up there. But, I think we should give a warning about it, as mentioned above.

I say friend codes should be shown to the public to warn others he/she is a hacker/scammer. It's a good way to keep track of them. 3nodding
