There is a weird occurence that happens to me when I lie down to take a nap or just close my eyes for a short period of time. This occurs when i am inbetween the 'waking world' and sleeping. I can comprehend everything and when i notice this occuing, i then become wide awake and as long as i concentrate, i can watch these 'movies.' I begin to see images, rather movies playing at around triple speed. Looks like someone is fast forwarding a movie, but i can see everything clearly. They are always of people that i know, and shows something that i have not seen before. And there have been times i have seen the 'movie' played out before me in real life in real time... In all of my research i cannot find anything describing what might be happening, if it is indeed something...
Anyone here have any idea? Is this some kind of 'Future seeing' ability i have or is it just my imagination? question

This does sound like you're seeing the future. If the images come to you without you asking then it is more likely that it is some sort of vision, but if you ask for the images then it has more chance of being your imagination.
You said that it occurs when you are 'inbetween the waking world and sleeping.' This is called the alpha state and many mediums slip into this state when they are communicating with spirits or seeing the future. 3nodding

Interpret it as you will. I generally do not believe in prophetic dreams, for they are nearly always self-fulfilling prophecies and nonfalsifiable (ie, you can't prove them false). So long as it isn't causing you or others harm by believing it's something other than mundane, it doesn't much matter what you see it as. More often dreams are representative of inner psychological states that aren't always expressed while you're awake. It's not hard for our minds to predict future events based on what we know of our lives and others' lives. Some people are better at it than others, and some call it a sixth sense, though it does have a scientific explanation. Even if it is scientific, still pretty damn cool when it happens. Means you're very observant. whee

It is pretty awesome though. If you wnat to study what you have I would suggest taking notes on your dreams as soon as you can, in a book or somewhere to keep track and notice changes and simularities.

What a strange phenomena and/or experience...I wish I could help identify what you are seeing but I would like to express my disbelief in future sight. I feel its possible to calculate the possibilities and the most probable event to take place but I don't feel its possible to know the future since it is uncertain according to quantum physics and just about everything I believe in when it comes to the power of human choice and will.

I will take my stab at what it is:
There are those called 'Thread Weavers' who can control the treads of fate, but not every aspect... More like pull at a thread to change a SMALL outcome... Most do it with out knowing...
There are also those who can read those threads, thus POSSABLY seeing the future... Or, rather, a possable outcome with out knowing what factors brought about that outcome... That is what i can gather it to be... I might be able to read threads...
To answer a few questons from above:
No, i do not call upon the 'ability' it just happens.
The visions i see do not have any thing to do with my day... One was just children slideing down a slide and playing joyfully... One of the children was the daughter of my Sgt at work. (im in the air force, and what i do does not have me doing the same thing everyday).
And i too dont believe in 'fortune telling' or seeing the future... But, i do believe that thread weavers exist, cause a friend can always tell the outcome of my poker games... Meaning who will lose over all...

Sometimes (when I'm lucky) I have prophetic dreams. Sometimes the dreams are turly accurate, and other times there are bits and pieces woven in from the dream. Most of the time what I have is feelings and intuition about people/places. I'm an empath.

I have some visions like that when I'm in an alpha state. They're really clear at first, but if I don't immediately become fully awake and transfer them to my long-term memory, I either forget them, or they become fuzzy and/or distorted.

ever so often that happens to me as well. I take it as some kind of premonition or vision...the most resent one was yesterday when I saw a friend get hit by a car and an hour ago I got a phone call from that friends mother telling me that she did get hit by a car.....I hope she is ok.... crying

And out of nowhere, someone posts in this thread I thought was dead!! razz
I have had quite a few 'experiences' recently, and some weird (some very nice) dreams recently. Most have to deal with a woman, whom i have never seen before, but looks a lot like an old flame. She is short (around 5'2" and is slender) and accepts me for who and what I am (something Rare in Oklahoma). God I hope this woman exists... However, it just might be my hope that is causing the 'experiences'.
Anyways, what are some 'visons' or dreams people have been having?
